@ATown_Breakdown Tua was mostly doing walkthroughs and lower speed stuff, but his throws were solid. With Penix his rough period came in redzone and he was really trying some tight window throws. Coverage was really tight, but not a good showing from him accuracy-wise either.

Notes from #Falcons training camp, Day 3: -Sounds like this was a much higher-energy practice than the first two days. We got a lot of 1-on-1s, 7-on-7, and 11-on-11 throughout the day. -Zachariah Branch has been really impressive. His explosiveness and speed just look effortless. Left multiple defenders in the dust. Only mistake was a miscommunication on a route during teams that led to an incompletion. -All four QBs were present and practicing. Jack Strand and Cooper Rush were the only two to participate fully. Michael Penix Jr. stuck to individuals, 1-on-1s, and 7-on-7s. Tua Tagovailoa took part in almost everything except full-speed team reps. -Speaking of the QBs, Penix had a really rough day. The DBs were breaking up almost every one of his passes in the redzone. -Cooper Rush had a really nice team period where he completed three straight passes. Seems to be warming up to the system quickly. -Jack Strand continues to draw praise from everyone. I would characterize his play as "solid", but as a UDFA from D2 coming in and playing with the ones, it's mighty impressive. His roster chances improve every day. -Avieon Terrell started outside with the 2s, but also played a lot of reps in the slot. The other players competing for slot appear to be Darnay Holmes, AJ Woods, and Sydney Brown. -Christian Harris dominated the snaps at LB across from Divine Deablo. Harold Perkins was getting some work with the second team across from JD Bertrand. Kendal Daniels had a scheduled rest day. -We got our first peek at the first team DL. It looked like the initial combination was EDGE Jalon Walker, DT Brandon Dorlus, DT Maason Smith, DT Da'Shawn Hand, EDGE Samson Ebukam. James Pearce Jr. was out here but working with the second team. -Kevin Stefanski gave a few updates: OT Jawaan Taylor is working his way back and could be on the field in a week or so. He's also confident that the Bijan Robinson situation will be resolved amicably. That's all from Day 3. Stay tuned as we'll be back bright on early on Saturday. This morning at @AtlantaFalcons Camp: Tua threw with QBs but wasn't a full participant. Michael Penix Jr got some treatment. Did not practice other than some throws with QBs. Cash Jones with a great catch in 11 on 11.

I think what I hate the most about the anti-Penix group is the absolute negative day to day life they lead. We all know the facts 1. Penix has probably got one shot to get this right before the team moves on. They not 💯 his fault, but that’s the #NFL And 2. The Falcons haven’t had TOP level QB play since Matt Ryan / Michael Vick. So the 2027 draft is a big deal if the team goes under With that said ( And here is the sell ) ~ Don’t yall want that smile on your face if he DOES win the job and show the talent that has sparked here and there? Because this is the type of player who could be ATL and rep the city. Nobody’s pretending that this isn’t make her break. Or that the ACLs don’t exist. We all spoke about that pre draft. But guys come on…. The story of a lifetime… ATL actually mattering again… No? #DirtyBirds
