During the Asian Conference of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Ralphe Bou Chebl, Founding Program Director of Lebanon’s first Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship, delivered a lecture on cardiac ultrasound, emphasizing its critical role in emergency care.

The ED Mini Open House highlighted the outstanding research of our senior residents. Congratulations to Dr. Christelle El Helou (PGY IV), whose winning study on ED avoidance during the COVID-19 pandemic (PI: Dr. Eveline Hitti) will represent our department at the CRI Open House!

Congratulations to Dr. Nour Barmo, PGY II Emergency Medicine (EM) Resident, on winning the Best Poster Abstract Award at MENATox, for her project with Dr Tharwat El Zahran (PI) on anticholinergic toxicity from lupin beans in Lebanon.

The 4th Annual LSEM Congress, held with the 3rd MAEMC 2024 at the Lebanese Order of Physicians, featured AUBMC’s Dr. Amin Kazzi as session chair & moderator. Dr. Eveline Hitti delivered a commentary on "A Year of War: Mass Casualty Management & Hospital Preparedness."

Congratulations to Dr. Victoria El Karaki for winning “Best Presentation” at the 11th Annual Clinical Research Open House at AUB! Her research with Dr. Mazen El Sayed on blood transfusion predictors in gunshot injury patients showcases the excellence of our AUB DEM team.

During the National Research Day at AUB, Emergency Medicine residents showcased their remarkable research. Dr. Louisa Maria Alam studied patient satisfaction. Dr. Yousef Salam explored poisoning cases. Dr. Cynthia Habib investigated venous lactate in poly-trauma patients.

Our team from AUBMC's Emergency Medicine Department shared insights at the MENA Region's Pandemic and Epidemic Preparedness Forum hosted by GHI at AUB. Led by Dr @TharwatElZ , Dr Al Karaki, and Dr El Helou, findings on critically ill COVID-19 patients in the ED were presented.
