🚨 DJ Akademiks Gives Drake Props For Keeping His Distance From People Who Turned On Him During The Rap Beef 👀🦉
DJ Akademiks says one of his biggest takeaways from seeing Drake at the World Cup wasn’t who he was with it was who he wasn’t with.
According to Akademiks, Drake intentionally avoided taking photos or linking up with artists he believes switched sides or distanced themselves during last year’s rap battle.
🗣️ Akademiks:
“W for Drake. He’s standing on business. We all thought after everything happened he was gonna go right back and kick it with the same people who stabbed him in the back… but he’s not doing it.”
Akademiks pointed out that while Drake and Travis Scott were both at the event, they were never seen together, saying Drake appeared content spending time with athletes and other guests instead of trying to rebuild relationships with people he feels weren’t loyal.
He admitted he expected Drake to reconnect with many of his former industry friends after the battle, but says the opposite has happened.
🗣️ “He’d rather hang with basketball players, golfers, tennis players… anybody except the people who already tried to do him in. I respect it.”
Akademiks also argued that Drake no longer needs to chase acceptance within certain rap circles.
💭 “Sometimes Drake gives off the vibe that he wants to be in the mix with the Atlanta crowd or the industry crowd. But honestly… they need him more than he needs them.”
He added that, from what he’s seen, Drake has remained close with artists like Sexyy Red and 21 Savage, while saying the status of other relationships remains unclear.

@benjamins_st Besides it's the ugliest people never like Drake. Or they have a currupt mind set. They only ones hate Drake or jealous too. Why like others then? When they lie in they music when Drake tells truth in his music?

A lot of people still don’t get what it actually means to be Drake‼️
No Black man has to walk around explaining that he’s Black‼️. That’s just not a thing‼️. So imagine being a mixed kid who’s spent his whole life feeling like he has to apologize for not fitting neatly into one box‼️. Drake has been iced out, side-eyed, and straight-up disrespected by parts of the Black community‼️not because he did anything wrong, but because some corners of that community can be brutally tribal‼️. They’ll welcome you when you’re useful, and drop you the second you don’t check every single box‼️
That’s exactly why he uses the word “associate.”‼️ After a lifetime of feeling like an outsider in the very place he thought he belonged, “associate” is just him describing the relationship for what it’s actually felt like‼️. It doesn’t erase his Blackness. It’s him finally saying the quiet part out loud: “I’ve always been treated like I’m on the outside looking in.”‼️💯
We all scream about wanting to be understood‼️💯… until the person asking for understanding doesn’t fit the version of the story we already decided on‼️. Then suddenly the rules change‼️💯.

@industrypolitic Because they know he is so good at rebuttal, they will never win, even when team up. They can try but we Drake fans already know the outcome. Drake never loose. Remember pusha t said he done battle because it not killing the artist. But it's just Drake they can't kill. Lol

He's right; I’m sure many of us have noticed that whenever Drake has a “rap beef”/conflict, it rarely stays one-on-one.
Because suddenly it’s other artists, podcasters, radio personalities, media outlets, and the entire online rap ecosystem weighing in, all to degrade Drake!
Just recently, we’ve seen concerts where multiple artists unite, podcasts pile on, and countless voices pick a side once again. Whether you think that’s organic or not, it’s a pattern a lot of us have noticed.

F*** y’all. 🤣
I never asked to be in any of your groups, witches; you'll put me there!
I’m here for Drake. That’s it.
I don’t speak to any of you, bother any of you, or involve myself in your dramas!
I see no evil, hear no evil, and I truly do not care what you hateful bitches think.
Go touch grass, lonely loser!
