The limits of the new transfer feature are ridiculous, but again, Pls Donate was never truly built for the community. Hazem has a life set for him off a game that required minimal development effort, built on taking a cut from what players thought were direct donations. That’s not charity, that’s the model. Not hating on Hazem, but Roblox was losing money to a middleman and they cut it off. Simple business decision. And yes he donated a lot, through his own game, where he still took a percentage of every transaction. Now instead of thanking the community that made him millions, he’s crashing out on Twitter. Where was this energy when Roblox was releasing updates that hurt the broader community? Not a word, until it hit his income. Speaking out then wouldn’t have guaranteed change, but it would’ve meant something. The silence until now says everything. The community he ‘built this for’ never heard from him when other updates were destroying the platform. Only now that his bag is affected does Roblox suddenly ‘fucking suck. (Not defending Maxxell with the direct hate)

It’s genuinely sickening seeing some people wish the worst on me and be happy that my game is being killed overnight. Yes, I’m incredibly grateful for the position I’m in, but this was never just about money. It’s about watching a business I’ve built for years be damaged overnight by something completely out of my control. I would never wish this on any other developer, and I truly hope no one else on this platform has to go through the way Roblox has handled this with us.

The limits of the new transfer feature are ridiculous, but let’s be real, Pls Donate was never truly built for the community. Hazem has a life set for him off a game that required minimal development effort, built on taking a cut from what players thought were direct donations. That’s not charity, that’s the model. Not hating on Hazem, but Roblox was losing money to a middleman and they cut it off. Simple business decision. Since Maxwell has me blocked, I'll respond to him here. Hazem has genuinely been one of the kindest and most generous developers I’ve had the chance to work with. Even Roblox themselves have publicly recognized and praised his contributions to the community. This update didn’t just hurt one game, it effectively destroyed an entire community while also removing one of the easiest ways for players to send Robux to each other, locking it behind a $5/month paywall. Pls Donate was never just about acting as a middleman for Robux. A huge part of its appeal was the social aspect and the community built around it. For a lot of people, myself included, interacting with others was the real reason to play, not simply earning Robux. And honestly, if Hazem is losing the income he built from years of work, he absolutely has the right to be vocal and upset about it. Roblox made no effort to reach out to him or discuss possible solutions that could preserve the game’s community while still allowing players to easily support each other. And yes, if a platform removes someone’s primary source of income, I think they’re fully allowed to criticize that platform and say it sucks. Hazem himself has even said that he loved Roblox, and that these recent changes are what soured his opinion on the platform. The only person showing their true colors here is you, with the hateful attitude you’re directing toward him.

@haz3m_ The limits of the new transfer feature are ridiculous but lets not pretend PLS DONATE was ever about giving back to the players, you made millions off of it let's call it a rest.

The updates have consistently been poor and harmful to the community. Input from major developers like yourself could have made a difference while these changes were being implemented, yet it seems you only speak out when they personally affect you. While you may claim it was "never just about money" and that you don't wish this on other developers, your "business" was ultimately built on taking a cut from charitable donations intended for others.

@GSpamerz @haz3m_ His impact seems to be benefiting financially from the generosity of others? At this point, he has earned more than enough to profit from Roblox without contributing anything meaningful in return. If you ask me, it should've happened way sooner.

Imagine a developer donates 1,000 robux to a player. That player then donates it to a friend, and this happens 3 more times. That 5th player is left with 77 robux. Hazem received 230 robux, Roblox received the rest. The limits of the new transfer feature are ridiculous but lets not pretend PLS DONATE was ever about giving back to the players
hazem@haz3m_

Roblox is removing cross-game gamepass sales and forcing a $5/month requirement just to donate, with a 1,000 Robux monthly limit. This will kill PLS DONATE. PLS DONATE is built around cross-game gamepass sales, a system that’s free for players and has no limits. Removing it doesn’t just change things, it kills the game completely. I wasn’t made aware of this change before it was announced. No warning, no chance to give my input or feedback before they announce this change. I’ve been developing on this platform since I was 12 and have always loved making games on Roblox, so seeing something this impactful happen overnight without real consideration is genuinely upsetting. This means a lot to me and I’m really sad about this. The solution Roblox gave us is the Transfer API, which really isn’t a solution and still affects us heavily. It’s locked behind a $5/month subscription, capped at 1,000 Robux per month, and under-18 users require parental approval for EVERY SINGLE transaction. That completely changes the experience. If transferring Robux is going to be paid, gamepasses need to coexist. Removing them ruins everything and doesn’t stop bad actors from just purchasing through the site anyway. It doesn’t make sense. I really don’t want to build hatred toward this platform. I love Roblox and still believe in it, and if it truly cares about its developers, I’m sure there are better solutions that keep users safe without killing our game. @Roblox @DavidBaszucki

The reason Roblox is making this change is to eliminate the middleman. Hazem & Pls Donate is effectively just a middleman who takes a skim off transactions, which Roblox pays out via devex. Roblox simply thought "instead of paying someone several million dollars a year, why don't we implement our own donation tool AND bill Roblox users for it along the way?" Doesn't matter how big the game is or who made it, Roblox has no use for the game anymore. Pls Donate was made popular due to the lack of a proper Roblox feature for donations. That feature is now here. Wish the Pls Donate team the best of luck, my advice is to accept it's over and move on to new projects because I don't see Roblox adjusting this whatsoever.

I DELETED EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA APP FROM MY PHONE AND I'M MORE INFORMED THAN EVER. No Instagram. No X. No Reddit. None of it on my phone. But I still know exactly what the top AI builders are posting, which YouTube tutorials are going viral, and what conversations on Reddit actually matter. Perplexity Computer runs every morning before I wake up: → Scans X for posts from the 15 accounts I actually care about and flags anything with real traction → Monitors Reddit for viral AI projects and discussions blowing up in my niche → Finds YouTube videos getting unusual views in vibe coding and summarizes the key workflow → Delivers everything as a one-paragraph brief to my phone by 7 AM Three platforms. Zero scrolling. Zero algorithm. I get better signal from a 2-minute morning brief than I did from 3 hours of doomscrolling across all three apps. The phone isn't the problem. The way we consume information is. Comment "SETUP" and I'll send you the full workflow. 👇

Used Claude Design and Opus 4.7 to design a personal dashboard. With Personal AI becoming more accessible in 2026, I always envisaged that one day we could have our own personal OS as well. Here's what I came up with!

Anyone else finds the growth of Escape Tsunami for Memes by @do_bigR intensely weird? The game was created on Jan 6th, 2026. Jan 12th, not even a week later, the game is at 20,000 CCU. Usually, fresh games take a while to be picked up by the algorithm. #RobloxDev 🧵
