The Zhengzhou–AlUla Archaeology Seminar 2025 brought together leading experts from the Arab world and Asia to explore how faith, trade, urban life, and writing shaped identity, celebrating the enduring cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and China.

The Zhengzhou–AlUla Archaeology Seminar 2025 is well underway, with leading experts in Arabian and Asian cultural heritage exploring how faith, trade, urban life, and the development of writing shaped identity in AlUla and Henan from the second millennium BCE to the second century CE. تشهد ندوة تشنغتشو العلا للآثار 2025 مجموعة من الفعاليات المميزة، حيث يواصل نخبة من خبراء التراث الثقافي في العالمين العربي والآسيوي على مدى يومين استكشاف أبعاد الهوية في الممالك القديمة في العلا وخنان، عبر جلسات حوارية معمّقة ومعرض يضم قطعًا أثرية نادرة تكشف الروابط الحضارية الممتدة بين شبه الجزيرة العربية وآسيا عبر آلاف السنين.

How can the traces left by our ancestors thousands of years ago still shape our identity today? Archaeology goes beyond uncovering remnants — it redraws the contours of cultural identity, shaped by societies and passed down through generations.

كيف يُمكن لما تركه الأجداد منذ آلاف السنين أن يُشكّل جزءًا من هويتنا اليوم؟ علم الآثار لا يكتفي بكشف البقايا، بل يُعيد رسم ملامح الهوية الثقافية التي صاغتها المجتمعات وتناقلتها عبر الأزمان.

لا تصمد الآثار جميعها بالطريقة ذاتها؛ فبعضها يُصان بفضل الذاكرة الجمعية، وبعضها يبقى بمحض الصدفة. أما اليوم، فتُعيننا الأدوات الحديثة على الكشف عمّا أخفاه الزمن، والتأمل فيما يستحق الحفظ حقًا.
