I understand the risks, but I'm with the patients. MRI and targeted biopsy greatly reduce costs and harms of #prostate screening. Soon #AI like that of @LucidaMedical will further reduce costs and harms. I get my PSA tested and if it rises I would not hesitate to get an MRI. 5/

🎯This is an excellent example of targeted, risk-adapted screening. With AI, carefully select mammography-negative women to invite for a screening MRI. Investigate those with suspicious MRI. Result: detecting cancer in 6.4% of those invited, with potentially life-saving benefit.

1/ Here is a breast AI risk assessment trial that I am truly excited about. The ScreenTrustMRI results were published in Nature Medicine. This study prospectively used AI to invite women for screening breast MRI, increasing the CDR to an enormous 64 per 1000 exams (compare to 16-18 for MRI, 5 for DBT). rdcu.be/dNc8I
