Well, for the Oakland Circle K, your answer lies in the violent crime pool of Kalamazoo, MI. There was a shooting that left a man dead inside of a vehicle in the parking lot of said Circle K. My guess is that Circle K revoked business operations for the location due to that. As for the latter, COVID-19 was cause for a lot of businesses, not only local, to ditch the 24-hour business model.
