Sad really that this is football. Two sets of people who support different teams can’t walk down the same street together on a match day because stuff like this happens. First emotion people feel is violence in these scenarios. Why?

Newcastle United fans launching bottles at the Sunderland team coach today.

Bullied for first half, couldn’t really get going on the ball with the pitch holding the ball up. Better side on the ball second half when they tired and couldn’t keep same intensity up but the damage had been done and we didn’t threaten unfortunately #rufc

Better on the ball second half, without really creating anything. So no prizes for that. Baptiste looked good middle of the park to be fair #rufc

@AWas29 In fairness it’s terrible defending at fault for both goals and we should have had a pen.

@Fantasy_Cricc Three premium seamers. Will wait the day before when the squads are knocking around.

@Harrya2508Harry They’ll be some big wages off the books in the summer. I think budget will be kept down a lot given expenditure of sacking managers to save a bit of cash. If we’re relegated season ticket prices will have to come down too, less in the pot to spend. It’s a big rebuild job.
English

@AWas29 Anyone who is a half decent coach/ manager would want a competitive transfer budget. Do u think they will get it?
English

Had to be done. Tactics/formations weren’t good enough. Wrong substitutions etc. Players work rate wasn’t there for majority of the season. Doesn’t end. Players better pull their fingers out now. #rufc

The club can confirm that we have parted ways with first team boss Matt Hamshaw. The process to appoint a new first team manager is under way and updates upon its conclusion will be communicated at the earliest possible opportunity. #RUFC | #TownCountyUnited

@merrymiller123 @ldgmostdef In theory yes. Hall is the one. Kaleta potential but injured every appearance. Martha has spells, needs to strengthen a bit. Agbaire looks a bit clumsy. But that is the risk you take I guess.
English

@AWas29 @ldgmostdef Agbaire, Martha, Hall, Kaleta were those players but injury has crippled us. Still time with their age but whether they’ll get their heads down & rebuild in league 2 or force their way out is another question.
English

What I would like to see more than anything is some congruence in the strategy. Warne/Taylor/Evans/Hamshaw is as stylistically volatile as it could be. I don't care if it's total football or cheap non league players sold on at profit, but it has to be aligned and set out. #rufc

@Harrya2508Harry @ronnierockett99 This is it. Said to someone else about it. If I was scouting a player for next season and I see a player not interested when things are bad. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere near them. Don’t deserve a better move.
English

@AWas29 @ronnierockett99 My answer is yes. If I was a player I would be working my socks off to try to get a transfer to the best club possible.
English

By all means blame Hamshaw, Douglas, Stewart etc. The players have still got to go out there and put a respectable performance in. It’s just not good enough. Work rate, fight, it’s not there. Not earning their money, on a lot more than we’ll ever be on and don’t turn up #rufc
