@ClimateWarrior7 It bothers me that they are called both great and white. They should either be called the problematically white shark or the big freaky gray shark.

It's a myth that the great white shark is a personeater. Typically they only bite people by mistake. The majority of them avoid humans. I am spearheading a campaign to have great white sharks placed in public swimming pools in order to tackle bigotry against sharks.

This tracks. I honestly didn’t know much about Richard Dawkins but a friend recently recommended “The God Delusion,” so I’ve been listening to it on audiobook. Honestly - I was surprised at how unimpressive and unconvincing it is. Because of the reputation of the book and the author, I thought as a Christian that it would be at least somewhat challenging or compelling. It isn’t. It’s just someone who condescendingly dislikes religion rehashing the same common but long debated arguments for atheism, in a fairly standard and even lazy way.

Our latest volume of ⁦@explodeybook⁩ has a whole 15-ish page guided section that takes kids step by step through making a story from creating heroes,’monsters, and building your plot. And there’s still 160 pages beyond that.

@AXECOP @SethDillon @DavidLimbaugh WTF is a god? When you define something, you must have at least a GENERAL idea of: #1 What it's made of, #2 Where it is and #3 How it functions/behaves. THEN we can talk about the demonstration that's required.

Neil argues that as science advances and knowledge increases, there's less use for God as an explanation of anything — so theism loses ground over time. But the opposite is true. Scientific advances have resulted in discoveries like the beginning of the universe, the fine-tuning of the universe, biological information that functions like software, irreducibly complex biochemical machines, and so on. It's the naturalistic explanations that have become more implausible over time, not theism. When Stephen Meyer, for example, argues that the origin of biological information is best explained by intelligence, he's not arguing from ignorance. He's arguing from knowledge — we know of a cause that's capable of producing the observed effect. So he's drawing an inference to the best explanation, not punting to God for something we don't know how to explain.

Yeah, it sounds like Zach Cregger is a bigger fan of the games than all the people making dumb criticisms based on the trailers (and I never know anymore who is actually aggressively stupid vs just trolling for engagement).
