The Aḥādīth of Withdrawal Do Not Apply to Every Fitnah Shaykh al-Imām ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz (d. 1420 AH) said: “And it pleases me to inform you that the aḥādīth concerning the tribulations (fitan) and the warning against them are understood by the people of knowledge to refer to the tribulations in which the muḥiq (the one in the right) is not known from the mubṭil (the one upon falsehood). These, then, are the tribulations from which it is legislated for the believer to beware, and they are the ones intended by the Prophet ﷺ in his statement: القاعد فيها خير من القائم والماشي خير من الساعي... ‘The one sitting in it is better than the one standing, and the one standing in it is better than the one walking, and the one walking in it is better than the one hastening…’* — the ḥadīth. As for the tribulations in which the muḥiq (the one in the right) is known from the mubṭil (the one upon falsehood), and the ẓālim (the oppressor) from the maẓlūm (the oppressed), then they are not included in the aforementioned aḥādīth. Rather, the legislative evidences from the Book and the Sunnah have indicated the obligation of supporting the muḥiq (the one in the right) and the maẓlūm (the oppressed) against the bāghī (the transgressor) and the ẓālim (the oppressor).” *It was reported by al-Bukhārī in Kitāb al-Fitan (The Book of Tribulations), in the chapter: “There will be tribulations in which the one sitting is better than the one standing,” no. 6554; and by Muslim in Kitāb al-Fitan, in the chapter: “The descent of tribulations like the falling of rain,” no. 5136. The difference between the Seeker of Knowledge and the Seeker of Fitnah. The Seeker (Student) of knowledge extinguishes Fitnah while the Seeker of Fitnah ignites it. Question: “May Allah grant you goodness. (The questioner) says:” How do we differentiate between blameworthy silence regarding trials (Fitan) and praiseworthy abandonment of engaging in them?” Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan حفظه الله: “The Fitan only the people of knowledge and foresight should speak concerning, it is not for everyone to speak concerning it. If the ignorant speak concerning the Fitan they increase, but if the scholars and clarify it then it is extinguished by Allah’s permission. So the Fitnah not everyone should speak concerning it, rather the ones that should speak concerning it are the people of knowledge and foresight who know truth from falsehood and who know how to speak, it is not for everyone to delve into Fitan and speak, pass verdicts and talk [concerning it].”

A truly beautiful diverse community with large number of youth, with beautiful manners. I was delighted to be able to visit @_MuSunnah fir the first, may Allah bless them too. I especially would like to thank my brothers @uwaysT and Ozan for the remarkable hospitality (along with the many brothers in the community). Upon the advice of my respected brothers at Al-Maktabah As-Salafiyyah, from the students and others, I issue this clarification: An article entitled “Summary of the Issue of South Yemen” that is solely attributable to me was shared via WhatsApp on 15 Shawwāl 1447 and reached other forums. It was written and spread without consultation with my respected brothers from Al-Maktabah Salafiyyah, who do not agree with it as a whole and consider it a mistake on my part to have authored it. Furthermore, they advised that this affair should be left in the hands of the scholars of the various Muslim lands who have detailed knowledge of these particular matters, are dealing with them, and are the ones whose speech is returned to. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 “𝗧𝗮𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗱” 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 ('𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺): Al-'Ās ibn Wā`il took a vow in Jāhiliyyah to sacrifice one hundred camels, and (his son) Hishām ibn Al-'Ās sacrificed his portion of fifty camels [i e. on behalf of his deceased father who died upon disbelief]. 'Amr (another son of Al-'Ās ibn Wā`il) then asked the Messenger of Allāh ('alaihis salām) about this, so the Messenger of Allāh ('alaihis salām) said: “As for your father, if he had affirmed 𝗧𝗔𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗗, and (then) you fasted and gave charity on his behalf, that would have benefited him.” [Declared Sahīh by Shaykh Al-Albāni im As-Silsilah As-Sahīhah, Hadīth 484]

Shaykh Rabee’ Ibn Hadee Al-Madkhali رحمه الله said “Be men. If you are Salafis, then study the methodology of the Salaf from its original sources, and hold firmly to it and cling to it with your molar teeth. Do not fear the blame of any blamer for the sake of Allah. Even if your father or your brother deviates, refute him, even if he is among the closest of people to you. Clarify the reality of what they are upon. This is sincere advice for the sake of Allah; the religion is sincere advice, to Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and to the Muslims, their leaders and their common folk. “O believers! Stand firm for justice as witnesses for Allah even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or close relatives… [An-Nisaa’ 4: 135].” Where are these Ayāt and Aḥādīth? Where are those who aid others? Where are these texts? Where is the methodology of the Salaf? Where is the methodology of: “As for the close ones, when they go away with wealth and other than it, where have they gone?” Barak Allahu Feekum.”

Shaykh ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥasan رحمه الله said: “Whoever’s insight becomes blind, his conduct becomes corrupt, his desires enslave him, and he inclines toward his worldly life; leadership and status toy with his heart, and the Dunya deceives him with its delusions, and betrays him with its false hopes… then his intent is played with, dragging him through every valley of the valleys of destruction while he does not realize it. Part 3 Since the Fitnah of Hisham Al-Biyali took place and especially after the detailed refutation of Shaykh Hassan and Mashayekh of Egypt and the advice of Shaykh Rabee Up until today, none of the Mashayekh of Salafiyyah in Egypt advised or recommended people to go to him, not then and not now. Yet for some reason everyone is side-lined and the pleas of the Mashayekh in Egypt concerning why this man is being brought back onto the Da'wah and propped back up are ignored. Shaykh Ali Al-Hudhaify Al-Yemeni said: "It is allowed for Arafat to warn against Ali Al-Hudhaify, and to declare Abu Iyaad Al-Britaany an innovator, and at the very same time he can praise the Hadaddy Hisham Al-Biyali even if he is informed of what he has of deviations. And if the Mashayekh of Egypt unanimously agree that Al-Biyali is to be abandoneddue to evidences and proofs, then let the Mashayekh of Egypt abandon the proofs and evidences and cover their eyes"
