@matthaig1 Hi Matt, I appreciate you being so open and honest about your struggle with anxiety. Based on your background, do you have any suggestions for young people like me who are struggling with anxiety and depression during this pandemic?

To anyone who is struggling with anxiety: a mere week ago I was in the middle of a really bad patch. Trapped in that self-referential spiral of worrying about worry. It tried to convince me it’d be for ever, as always. It passed. Fear lies. I hope you feel better soon.

I want to see schools focusing on students' mental health after the COVID-19 pandemic. I also hope that as a society, we can get rid of the stigma surrounding mental health and recognize that it is equally important (if not more important than) physical health. #EM203ROBIN

@AleshaledrewE The Covid-19 pandemic has taken a toll on individuals physical and mental health. It has increased substance use, including alcohol consumption. This may be due to worry/stress or other factors. #EM203problems

The problem I identified is the rise of mental health issues during COVID. This article by CBC news discusses how teens are struggling during this pandemic. google.ca/amp/s/www.cbc.…

@BurtonEM203 Hi Nicholas, I agree that online learning during this pandemic has emphasized the importance of individual learning through alternative methods. Students have more control over how they choose to learn. I'm eager to see the implications this has for schools in the future!

The lessons in this course have opened my eyes to how people learn in different ways. With technology we have at our fingertips today, we have many new tools to provide learning opportunities to students. If these tools are used properly they will benefit us greatly. #EM203Robin

@Em203Ramos Hi Ashlye! I agree that learning about learning styles in EM203 was quite engaging. I believe that individuals being able to identify the learning styles they can learn best by will further them in their academic careers because they will know what works best for them.

The opening lessons of ‘280 Characters or Less’ have enlightened my understanding of learning theory. Of particular interest, is connectivism. Connectivism acknowledges technological advances in society, which has allowed for interactive, online learning. #EM203Robin
