For months, I’ve called to take steps like this to address Arizona’s unique gas prices. Katie Hobbs has refused to act because she’s beholden to environmental radicals instead of Arizonans. Thank you to @epaleezeldin & President Trump for this decision to help Arizonans!
Lee Zeldin@epaleezeldin

I just signed and announced a nationwide E15 and E10 fuel waiver to fortify U.S. fuel supply. This waiver ensures a robustly available supply of domestic fuel, providing Americans further relief at the pumps, and reducing our reliance on foreign oil. This means lower energy costs for ALL Americans—fulfilling President Trump’s Day One Executive Orders. epa.gov/newsreleases/e…

Hello Senator. This has already been pointed out but allow us to reemphasize that: 33% of Arizona’s gasoline — including the entire Phoenix refined products market — comes from California refineries via pipeline. With CA Democrat energy policy forcing the closure of major facilities, this dependency will mean higher prices & tighter supply ahead. Arizona has ZERO refineries of its own. With your military background - you of all people recognize that recent events have shown how unwise it is to allow an economy to be at risk of foreign choke points half way across the world. AZ is no different. We recommend AZ decouple itself from CA energy policy as soon as possible. Thank you for sharing your views. We will certainly keep them in mind.
Senator Mark Kelly@SenMarkKelly

This is from a gas station in Phoenix yesterday: $6.49 for a gallon of gas. All because Trump started war with no plan and no idea how it would affect everyday Americans. I'm fighting to suspend the federal gas tax to bring families some relief, but what they really need is a president focused on lowering their costs.

“20% fraud” in Arizona’s ESA program? Not even close. That @12News claim came from a skewed audit of flagged accounts. Actual data from a random sample: 👉 1.9% unallowable spending 👉 0.3% fraud That’s not a broken program. That’s a narrative falling apart.
Corey A. DeAngelis, school choice evangelist@DeAngelisCorey

It's time for fake news "journalist" @craigharrisnews to retract his lies. He falsely claimed school choice misspending was at 20% based on a RISK-BASED audit. The actual random sample showed it was less than 2%.

I'm confused, I was reliably informed by all of Katie Hobbs' surrogates on X that Governors have no control over fuel prices. Turns out they do, and her incoherent response to high gas prices illustrates how Hobbs is unable to lead or develop any solutions on her own.
Stacey Barchenger@sbarchenger

Arizona @GovernorHobbs quietly requested a fuel waiver that could help with gas prices, but hasn't gotten a response. Meanwhile GOP lawmakers are pushing a bill to force such requests in times of shortage. Story by @helenrummel via @azcentral azcentral.com/story/news/loc…

The warning signs have been there for years. Refinery shutdowns. Supply constraints. Missed opportunities to expand fuel flexibility. And still—no real action. We can't afford another 4 years of Katie Hobbs. 👉 Here’s the full breakdown: azfree.org/blog/2026/03/0…

Arizona gas prices are ridiculously high—and yes, California plays a major role. BUT Arizona had opportunities to address gas price volatility and reduce our dependence on California fuel. Governor Hobbs vetoed or resisted them. After price spikes in 2022, 2023, and 2024… we're now teetering on the edge of a full blown affordability crisis. This is not just geography. This is a leadership failure. #FireHobbs #dontcamyaz @DontCAmyAZ_

File your taxes twice. Pay more. Welcome to Katie Hobbs’ Arizona. After vetoing two full conformity bills, Hobbs helped turn what should have been a routine tax update into a full-blown mess in the middle of filing season. Her administration issued forms based on full conformity, but now she is trying to roll that back, putting Arizona taxpayers at risk of having to refile and lose out on tax relief in the process. In our first episode of The State Room, we explain how this chaos unfolded, why more than a million Arizonans could be affected, and why taxpayers should be paying very close attention. Official Statement on EPA Ruling Ensuring Fair Treatment for Maricopa County We want to thank EPA Administrator @epaleezeldin for ensuring that Maricopa County will not be unfairly punished for emissions that are beyond our control. The EPA’s determination makes clear that the region would have met federal ozone standards but for international emissions, and therefore should not face additional regulatory penalties. This is a major win for Arizona and builds on the work done last session with the passage of HCM 2010, sponsored by Representative Carbone. The Arizona Free Enterprise Club has been leading on this issue for years, fighting to ensure that Maricopa County residents are not held responsible for emissions originating outside the United States. This decision restores fairness and common sense to federal policy, protecting Arizona families, workers, and businesses from burdensome regulations tied to factors entirely outside of our control. epa.gov/newsreleases/e…

Phoenix wants to raise your trash bill by nearly 50%. And that’s just the beginning. While state lawmakers are working to let you keep more of your paycheck… 👉 Cities are quietly raising fees 👉 Growing government budgets 👉 Passing the cost onto you This isn’t just about trash collection. It’s part of a much bigger pattern happening across Arizona: ⚠️ An avalanche of local tax and fee hikes costing taxpayers hundreds of millions every year. And it’s hitting hardest where it hurts most— your monthly bills. Full Story: azfree.org/blog/2026/02/2…
