📣 Coming soon! We are opening an after-hours Urgent Pet Care Clinic on December 11 at our Rob & Melani Walton Papago Park Campus! As one of only a handful of animal welfare organizations in the nation offering this level of veterinary support, we’re proud to provide families with an accessible option that bridges the gap between routine vet visits and emergency room care. Because pets don’t wait for business hours to get sick, our clinic will be open Thursday–Sunday from 6 PM to 2 AM for non-emergency but time-sensitive needs. Our team will treat common issues such as: 🏥Torn toenails 🏥Ear infections 🏥Vomiting & diarrhea 🏥Limping 🏥Fishhooks, cactus quills & minor foreign bodies 🏥Urinary tract infections This is a walk-in clinic with triage-based prioritization to ensure the most urgent cases are seen first. This is a historic week for Arizona’s pets. With Senate Bill 1658, also known as Jerry’s Law, officially going into effect, our state has taken the most important step in the fight against animal cruelty in more than a decade. This groundbreaking law better defines the bare minimum standards of care that every pet deserves and gives law enforcement the tools they need to act faster in egregious cases of cruelty. By strengthening Arizona’s animal cruelty statutes, Jerry’s Law will save vulnerable pet's lives every year. We extend our gratitude to the legislators who championed this bill and stood up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Their leadership has created a safer, more compassionate Arizona for pets. While this victory is historic, our work is not done. The Arizona Humane Society will now focus on working hand-in-hand with local law enforcement to ensure these laws are enforced, and that every community across our state understands and upholds these new standards of care. #SB1658
