@SleeperHQ @SleeperSF49ers The ability to pay fractional amounts of future years preset by the league. ie: I trade my future 1st in a dynasty league, I can hit the preset value auto debited from that years future dues AND not have that money be commingled with current years pool.

If we built a feature that allowed you to pay league dues directly through Sleeper, what features or functionality would you want included?

League altering trades are one of the hardest things commissioners have to handle in dynasty football. How SHOULD commissioners handle these situations? 🧵👇🏻

@FerentzForever @BOATcommishFF I have each team nominate players from their roster, compile it into a google form and send it out for everyone to then vote league wide. It’s fun to look back and see who was relevant years ago

@FerentzForever @BOATcommishFF 9 total. 8 are for rules and structure, the last one is League Honors where we not only document winners (and losers) but also document GM of the Year, Commissioners Award, and player honors like league MVP and ROY. Creates for a time capsule of sorts

@BOATcommishFF This version took several attempts to devise and balance as to not disproportionally favor one variable. So far the last 3 seasons it’s worked well but each off season I’m always trying to break it before someone in the league does by accident 😂

Thinking about switching your league to dynasty? 🤔 Before you make the jump, there are a LOT of things commissioners and managers should be discussing first. Dynasty is a blast… but it’s a completely different beast than other leagues. 🧵👇🏻

@FunkyJankets @BOATcommishFF I agree with you. It makes for dynamic and creative roster moves, especially when injuries pile up. It balances out with shallower benches to where taxi becomes a bit of a restricted bench extension

@BOATcommishFF 2-3 years is best IMHO. The hill I will die on is that non-rookies should be eligible. With rookies only, you have no flexibility in the offseason, and it makes it harder to trade away future picks. Any player with less NFL experience than the taxi limit should be eligible.

How long are you all keeping players on taxi squads? 🤔 Taxi squads are one of the most important settings in dynasty… and I still think a lot of leagues haven’t fully figured out the best structure for them. Here’s how I think about taxi squads in dynasty leagues. 🧵👇🏻

@BOATcommishFF By letting it be dynamic all season and the only restriction being roster space it made for very strategic use of players. Worth noting our league uses much shallower benches than most dynasty leagues, so that helps make this balanced.

@BOATcommishFF This allowed us to maximize rookies late in season when injuries pile up and they start to be relevant. Teams could then put them back on taxi, but may not be able to get back the player they cut from waivers to make room.

Do you make managers cut down their rosters BEFORE the rookie draft? 🤔 I generally let managers draft as many players as they want, but I’m always interested in how other leagues handle this. There’s definitely more than one good way to do it 👇🏻🧵
