@Mcmullos The surgeon was the first medic I've been seen by to have taken a holistic longitudinal view and considered decades of data, not just the most recent. Medication successfully reduces intraocular pressure; the proposed surgery would have done much the same and probably no more.

@A_D_Bailey Oh that’s a shame. Are there any other treatment options? I’ve had an autoimmune condition for the last 4 years (arthritis, skin ulcers, raynauds, ITP) so been pretty debilitated. Changing my drugs again at the moment so maybe this will be the one….

@Mcmullos Oh my! Sorry to hear you've been unwell. Myself, I was supposed to have eye surgery for glaucoma, but surgeon cancelled cos he reckoned it wouldn't work. Otherwise, Loughborough continues as always!

@LboroVC Thanks for taking the trouble to clarify. Tho' I was active in the SU in 1971 and 1972 ( I was one of the founders of the radio station) I was unaware of the negotiations you have described.

Been shopping. Got a new TV. Not much choice when you only want a small one! JVC 32" (same size as old one.)

Had to turn off the electricity at home for a planned maintenance event this morning. Now my TV won't turn back on. I feel a visit to the local Currys coming on.....
