@markgoldbridge How about a loan with option / obligation to buy under certain conditions? Could be a good way to try before you buy with good potential…

Pauline Hanson 🇦🇺
Pauline Hanson 🇦🇺@PaulineHansonOz·
The RBA has been forced to raise interest rates and punish mortgage holders AGAIN because this Labor Government doesn’t understand basic economics. Their reckless spending and non-stop handouts are driving inflation through the roof. They’re throwing taxpayer dollars around and then act shocked when inflation explodes. Governments are supposed to deliver economic stability, not buy votes. Labor have destroyed productivity, wiped out industries and manufacturing, and flooded the public service with more bureaucrats to keep their poll numbers up. Australians aren’t destitute because they’re lazy, they’re destitute because this Government has killed hope. People are crying out for help and Labor’s answer is another handout, paid for by putting it on the national credit card. We are NOT going to turn this around while they keep buying votes with taxpayer money. Next week’s budget is the moment of truth. If they’ve got any sense left Labor will show real restraint, cut the waste and start reducing both debt AND inflation.

Elon Musk
Elon Musk@elonmusk·
South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black! We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle. Racism should not be rewarded no matter to which race it is applied. Shame on the racist politicians in South Africa. They should be shown no respect whatsoever anywhere in the world and shunned for being unashamedly RACISTS!
DogeDesigner@cb_doge

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?

BREAKING: Court documents reveal that Australian government war crimes investigators do not even have the NAMES of two individuals Ben Roberts-Smith is alleged to have killed in Afghanistan almost 20 years ago. Nobody has managed to identify these alleged victims - even after $300 million was spent on war crimes investigations over five years. Australian Office of Special Investigations director Ross Barnett already revealed that investigators have: - No crime scenes - No access to the deceased - No bodies - No post-mortem report - No official cause of death - No recovery of projectiles to link to weapons that might have been carried by members of the ADF - No photographs - No site plans - No measurements - No recovery of projectiles - No blood spatter Now we know that after nearly $300 million and 5 years of investigation, they do not even have the NAMES of two alleged victims. If there is no name, no identification, no body - how do we even know they were killed? Does anybody actually think this is fair? Does anybody actually think that a criminal conviction - proved to a criminal standard, beyond reasonable doubt - is remotely possible in these circumstances? Daily Mail: ''Two of the five men Ben Roberts-Smith is accused of murdering while serving with the Special Air Service in Afghanistan have never been identified by war crimes investigators. Court documents seen by the Daily Mail show one of the Victoria Cross recipient's alleged victims is described only as 'Person Under Control 1', or alternatively 'Enemy Killed in Action 3'.''

A tribute to the victims of the Bondi terror attack at the SCG has sparked a political firestorm, with the AFL referred to the royal commission into antisemitism. The Swans CEO conceded he removed a direct reference to the Jewish community. @LauraTurner_7

I see no way back ever for United under this ownership. Everything they've said in the last 2 years has ended up being lies. Berrada, Wilcox are clearly useless and snakes as well. Can't trust a word that comes out of that club

I experienced all of this firsthand, having entered graduate school in 2013. By 2020, I watched non-white colleagues with CVs a tiny fraction as strong as mine absolutely swamped with interview requests and job offers, while I couldn't even secure a preliminary phone interview. I saw a non-white, female biologists with zero peer-reviewed publications receive a tenure-track job offer from an Ivy League university within minutes of defending her PhD thesis. This would have been utterly incomprehensible in years prior, as such positions are typically only given to well-established academics with a long and very high impact publication record. To call this demoralizing would be a dramatic understatement. Combine my sex and race with the fact that I refused to write the woke DEI statements that most universities had begun requiring, due to my strong moral opposition to DEI ideology, and landing a tenure-track position at a respectable university began to feel like a pipe dream. I also watched many exceptionally smart and talented white male undergraduates abandon their aspirations of becoming academic scientists. They understood what was happening and chose career paths where success would still be tied to competence rather than sex and race.
Matthew Schmitz@matthewschmitz

Beginning in 2014, prestige industries decided they urgently needed to diversify. They didn’t purge established Boomers. Instead, they did everything possible to avoid hiring white millennial men. This is the story of a generation derailed by DEI. compactmag.com/article/the-lo…
