I agree with all of this and I wonder why most of not all books don't have the long emotional sequences. I realized that fics have the yearning trope written way better than professionally published books do bc they all have limited word count they cannot pass over & I hate that

I love fanfic prose. I love flowery language. I love big, dramatic metaphors. I love long emotional sequences. I love lingering in language and emotion, experimenting with it, playing with it, letting things get overwritten because I like exploring it so much. I want more of it.
