England defeated Norway 2-1 after extra time to book their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semi-finals #england #norway #worldcup

Jude Bellingham STUNS Mexico With Two Quick Goals to Give England a lead. England survived. Mexico earned the world’s respect. In one of the most intense matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, England escaped the Estadio Azteca with a 3 to 2 victory over the co hosts to reach the quarterfinals. Jude Bellingham stunned the stadium with two goals in the 36th and 38th minute, giving England what looked like a comfortable lead. But Mexico refused to fold. Julián Quiñones scored before halftime, bringing the crowd back to life and shifting the momentum. Then came another turning point. England defender Jarell Quansah was sent off after a VAR review, forcing England to play with 10 men for the rest of the match. Harry Kane converted a penalty to make it 3 to 1. Most teams would have accepted defeat. Mexico attacked even harder. Raúl Jiménez buried a penalty to cut the lead to one, and the final 20 minutes became an all out assault on England’s defense. Wave after wave of Mexican attacks tested the Three Lions, while more than 80,000 fans pushed their team forward inside the Azteca. England held on. Mexico walked off without the result they wanted, but after pushing one of the tournament favorites to the limit, they left with their heads held high. England now advances to face Norway in the World Cup quarterfinals on July 11.
