@meldonkas @NashSevereWx I've seen at least 12 branches fall near Rosebank and Eastland. 2 just feel off my across the street near l neighbors tree and it almost hit their window. It's wild. Our willow tree is destroyed. There is a tess behind our house that is about to fall on it.

Upper air sounding shows 3 elements we're watching today. NED (warm nose), Dry Air Monster (he eats snow), and snow zone where snow is falling. Right now DAM is in charge. But soon he'll disappear and we'll get snow on the ground. Then, Ned will move to right, cross the freezing line and we'll get freezing rain. #science

Been looking at radar for about an hour. Dry Air Monster is munching snow above us like a champ. But he'll be full soon. OHX launched their balloon a bit ago and report that it's below 32 all the way up and largely dry. Dew points will rise, saturation will occur, and then the precip will make it to the ground as snow.
