A 21-year-old woman from Dallas, Texas recently turned a short airport layover into a moment she will never forget. When she learned that her boyfriend, who serves in the military, would have a 30-minute layover at a Dallas airport between flights, she realized it might be her only chance to see him for a long time. But there was a problem. Without a boarding pass, she would not be able to get through airport security. So she came up with a plan. She bought a $70 plane ticket for a flight she never intended to board, simply so she could pass through security and meet him at the gate. Sara and her boyfriend met at the Dr. Pepper factory in Waco, Texas, and had been together for just over six months. From the beginning, their relationship had been long distance because of his military service. As soon as he received his orders and she learned his connection would be in Dallas, she decided she was going to make those 30 minutes count. When the moment finally came, the two reunited at the airport gate, sharing a brief but emotional visit before he had to board his next flight. Sara later posted a video of the reunion on TikTok on February 6, writing: “Falling in love is buying a ticket just to get into the airport to see your long-distance boyfriend for 30 minutes between flights.” The video quickly went viral, gaining more than two million views. For Sara, the layover happening in her city felt like a small miracle, and she hopes the story encourages other military couples to hold on through the distance. Sometimes love shows up in the smallest windows of time.

Hell I can name about 10 bands with women that would come before those and wouldn’t be some flash in the pan bands that no one has ever heard of.
