I’m fine, everyone. The video of me being pepper sprayed was from January 2024. At the time, the attacker believed that I was part of a conspiracy (along with the CIA, Mumia Abu Jamal, and the president) to cover-up traumatic events from her childhood. Since then, after refusing to press charges, I have worked with her family and community members to enable a restorative process. Through the process, I have learned that she did indeed suffer significant childhood abuse, as well as serious mental health challenges that continue to this day. Instead of criminal prosecution, I have done my best to make sure that she receives social and mental health support to help her heal as best as possible.

I think it’s pretty cool that he’s clear about the political stakes of his coursework and that the course offers frameworks for processing current events. Sounds like students will benefit from it IRL

@KoreyTillman_ This would be such a heavy space to hold, I’d ask yourself if you can carry the weight today— otherwise, I’d do activities that allow students to reflect on the election, what are their fears, concerns, celebrations etc then make it a class discussion and connect back to material

@re_colston My PhD program had like a 30% complete rate, and when I started I was like “who are these weak minded fools who cannot complete such a task” and then I got past candidacy exams and was thrust out into outer space to realize on my own that what I was doing was fruitless
