I am saddened, and completely shocked at how many claiming to know Christ have zero confidence in Christ. Our Christian walk is not by our own brute strength. It is solely by walking in dependence on the power and wisdom of Christ. He clothes us with his righteousness.

Again, this is a factually incorrect narrative being repeated without understanding the data. Let’s start with the basics. The claim that a significant number of U.S. medical students remain unmatched is misleading. The majority of that ~7% ultimately secure positions through SOAP, so presenting them as “left out” is simply inaccurate. Let’s break down the numbers: Total U.S. MD and DO applicants (2026): 33,070 Total residency positions offered: 44,344 ➡️ That leaves: 44,344 – 33,070 = 11,274 MORE positions than U.S. applicants Now the obvious question: Who exactly is supposed to fill these 11,274 positions? Because if IMGs don’t fill them, the alternative isn’t “more U.S. graduates magically appearing”, it’s vacant positions and reduced patient care across already underserved systems. Let’s address the core claim: “IMGs are stealing residency spots” No. That is simply not how the system works. The small percentage of U.S. graduates who go unmatched is largely due to: Applying disproportionately to highly competitive specialties Choosing not to rank or pursue Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, etc That is a preference issue, not a “theft” issue. Now let’s examine the Pakistan claim: There is no credible source cited, and for good reason. Pakistan’s training system is not a single pool, it includes: FCPS MCPS MD / MS programs Multiple provincial and institutional pathways. Even a conservative estimate puts annual training positions well above 8,000–10,000, and total capacity far higher. Presenting incomplete or selective data without acknowledging this structure reflects lack of understanding, not insight. About the “18% IMG” argument: Yes, IMGs filled ~18% of positions. But here’s what was conveniently omitted: ➡️ That 18% represents IMGs from the entire world, not one country. Total matched positions ~43,000 Pakistani physicians ≈ ~1,000 positions ➡️ That’s roughly 2–2.5% of total positions So the narrative targeting one country is not just misleading, it is statistically indefensible. And one more point: Pakistan itself trains a large number of international graduates from countries like: China Ukraine Russia No one frames that as “stealing.” Bottom line: The U.S. has more residency positions than U.S. applicants IMGs are filling a workforce gap, not displacing anyone The data does not support a country-specific blame narrative At this point, repeatedly singling out one country despite clear global data raises a legitimate question: Is this about facts, or is it about bias?

Pakistan has about 5000 residency spots for about 20,000 applicants. How would you like it if Americans took 18% of those spots? In 2025, 18% of American residency positions were filled by foreign students.

In 8 days I will be rotating to another unit, I'm already missing my SRs in cardiothoracic unit already. Dr O.E is always cool, calm and collected, if I call him Chief, please come and rescue me, even if he is not on call he will appear immediately. Dr O.P is always quiet, but she is such a cool person, patient and kind. She taught me how to pass a chest tube and other things was more than patient with me even when I wasn't getting it, she allowed me try until I understood what to do, some other surgeons for don pursue you or use shout finish your ear, but she always made me relaxed that I could pick up instruction faster because I want tensed. Dr A and I have history, I was his HO, so he has always been my G... Even when I mess up, despite being temperamental. He never raised his voice at me, always teaching me how to navigate through situations and offering to buy me snacks. Dr S is a chill guy, he has had ample opportunities to shoot me, but he has already treated me with respect and dignity. He will instill you with confidence. You've been struggling with a procedure, he will hype you until you get it ... If you mess up, he won't rub it in, he will come and rescue you. I will miss them all. Not easy to work with 4 people and love them so much that leaving them feels heart wrenching.

International doctors are celebrating Match Day. Nigerian doctors are begging for the salary they already worked for. guy Not begging for a raise. Begging for money they already earned. However guess what. They'll both still show up tomorrow morning One celebrating. One begging.

It’s awful that is info is coming from a Doctor imagine trusting her with care… Let’s translate this into plain English: 1367 U.S. medical grads didn’t match… because they were picky about where and what they wanted to do. 6733 international doctors stepped in and took the spots Americans didn’t want and then some. There are STILL unfilled residency programs across the country. The problem isn’t “no spots.” The problem is people don’t want those spots.

1367 US medical students did not get a US residency spot. 6733 international, non-US medical students got a US residency spot.
