Oh, this reboot's cooking!

Last weekend, I managed to grab a ticket to see Akira Yamaoka's last concert of his US tour. It was a blast seeing him perform and have a chance to chat a bit about Silent Hill 3!

I love the premise, but the tone is surprisingly cheery for a story centering around the Yakuza. But something flipped near the tail end of vol. 2 and especially during this sequence. Showcasing an cold menace behind the smiles. Now this is more like it!

Lately, I've been diving more into romance comics and Yakuza Fiancé has been one of the focal points. The artwork from Asuka Konishi first caught my eye with her elegant line work, but the story has taken longer to get its hooks in me. 1.

Today is the birthday of Dwayne McDuffie, Co-Founder and E-I-C of @DakotaUniverse I've been celebrating it every day for more than half of my life by continuing his mission.

Regardless of recent mishaps- Definitely go pick up The Dakota Incident when it drops (OFFICIALLY). I appreciate the fans that did not spoil anything. Several writers and artists worked very hard to give you guys something special. Do not let this be the final word! Milestone deserves to go on.

I'm a simple guy. If I love a film, I buy it on physical media and pop on the director's commentary ASAP.

Having just seen OG Possession this year, I don't think a remake's a great idea. However, if anyone's gonna make me eat my words, it's Parker Fin.

Send Help had one of the most raucous theater crowds I've been a part of in quite some time. It was a joy hearing how different pockets of the audience reacted to the various splatter moments!

Old school Sam Raimi is back!! Send Help was such a twisted fun flick that's right at home with Drag Me to Hell & The Evil Dead Trilogy. And Rachel McAdams is a pitch perfect Raimi protagonist. They've gotta make more movies together.

We'd get the sickest Killer Croc or Mr. Freeze from a Raimi Batman film.
