It’s kinda like the weekend parent being the fun parent. You get to stay up late, nobody’s fussing about homework or cleaning your room, and y’all might go out to eat. The everyday parent is dealing with discipline, structure, routine, and sometimes they’re overwhelmed because they carry the full responsibility. It’s really no different than a wife and a side piece. At home, you’re faced with bills, responsibilities, work, kids, and real life. With the side piece, it’s fun, carefree, and low demand. She’s not getting the version of you that’s worried about everything, so the interaction naturally feels lighter. She also doesn’t carry the weight the wife or girlfriend does, so she has more space to be emotionally and physically present. And quiet as it’s kept, it’s not even that she treats him better, she just gets the easier version of him, and he gets the easier version of her. No pressure, no real life, just vibes.
