@AdkinsSportsTLK Well said. So much money in college athletics and where it comes from. Will be interesting to see. The wallets will drive this decision way more than any of us who buy the gear and the tickets and live and die with every game.

#UNC’s rotations under Hubert Davis have been perplexing. In Year 1 it was cute. The “Iron Five.” But obviously not sustainable. Improved rotations have been self-admittedly on his offseason to-do list ever since. Year 5, UNC’s bench outscored 42-7, the 6-man rotation gassed.

@AaronConrad Who's on your short list of coaches to replace Hubert? Big decisions are needed to keep UNC basketball relevant. The right coach and NIL could have them back in the mix next season.

UNC is taking a lot of heat, and especially Hubert, for the loss. Fully agree. BUT. At some point, we need to give VCU some credit. Kids played hard and pulled it off. Well done.

@AaronConrad I love the Tar Heel since I was 10 here in Nebraska and will continue to love them and watch them, but boy is it hard lately.

UNC's two first-round losses over the last two years are as many as it had in its previous 35 NCAA Tournament appearances since the field expanded to 64 teams in 1985.

This means UNC has gone three of the last four years without going to the round of 32

North Carolina is now 48-2 when leading by 10+ at halftime in the NCAA Tournament. Both losses were under Hubert Davis. 2022 National Title vs Kansas 2026 Rd of 64 vs VCU

Hubert got his gm. He got arguably the best freshman in Carolina history (not the whole season but plenty of time for seeding purposes). We had one of the more expensive rosters in the country. We have Jordan brand. He has everything, and damn near his only success is a fluke.

Congratulations to VCU.

The fact that Hubert and company have not subbed out 4 guys the entire second half is so Hubert and company.
