March 2025 Omni Investor Update I shared this with our VCs, so I'm also sharing with the 75,000+ others in our community I'll answer any Q's in the replies.

Think about it — what would the onchain economy look like if we didn’t make people onboard through CEXs first? No Coinbase, no KYC, no bridging, no writing down 12 random words — just load website and use app. Crazy to me how many people don't see how close this is -- all we need is to remove the fundamental, absurd requirement that a user needs to hold a gas token in their wallet. Seriously — think about the type of use cases we’d see if people could just start using apps without having to go put down money to invest in some highly volatile asset before they could even use an app, and think about the fundamental psychological difference this would have on new users. You are immediately speculating if you have to buy $ETH or $SOL before using an app. You have to put money in, and you know it will go up or down rapidly. No wonder we’re stuck in casino mode — we make people gamble to onboard! This is ending soon — we’re going to start onboarding people directly onchain. Three things are happening to facilitate this: 1) We’re going to have insanely cheap transactions. This is going to be facilitated through a combo of hyperscale DA solutions like @celestia + @eigen_da, and high throughput rollups like @megaeth + @EclipseFND 2) All those transaction fees will just be sponsored by the devs themselves with EIP 7702 shipping in the next couple months so users don’t need to pay to use apps. 3) Intent networks like @OmniFDN, @AcrossProtocol and @deBridgeFinance are going to remove the need for users to ever think about chains or rollups. Think about what happens at that point and how much healthier it will be for the industry: People will just start using apps. They won’t think about gas, seed phrases, chains or any of the garbage we force users to deal with today. They’re just going to make an account, and they’ll start to realize that they are picking up items like NFTs. Then it’ll really trip them out when they realize they can use those same items in different apps on different websites. This will feel magical compared to the proprietary, gated internet today where we all serve as data serfs to our corporate overlords of Google and Facebook. We don’t need people to understand all the tech that we’re building — people already understand that online they are oppressed, that they can be shadow banned, and censored by corporations. What we need to do is prove to them that we have built an alternative. We do not bring the world onchain by explaining our new consensus algorithms, our modular architectures, or how ZK is going to overhaul most infra. We bring the world onchain by proving to them that what we have built empowers them with freedoms they have never had before. Industry is in a slump. People overfixate on prices. Zoom out and realize that we are at an inflection point for the industry, and its on all of us to finally prove to the world that what we have built is far greater and more important than a digital casino.
