"Your face is gonna get stuck that way." Anyone else's mom ever say that? Funny how I heard it so often as a kid that I believed it. "If you say it often enough, it'll become true." Mom used to say that one too, but always in a BAD way. What if I say GOOD things often enough? Do those become true? I say yes. I believe when you're thoughts, words, and actions are aligned toward an intention, magic happens to make it a reality. "Money comes easily, frequently and abundantly every single day." Not a bad thing to believe.

He turned back, the pain of rejection coloring his face red. But the lesson I learned from overhearing this isn’t the one you’d think. “Kitchen and bathroom upgrades?” -~- Wait, how’d we get here? Well, yesterday was Day 1 of launching @ Refresh. And it was the hardest day of my career. Turns out, the fear of criticism and rejection is 100x stronger when they’re rejecting YOUR company - criticizing YOUR product. Not someone else’s. After about 9 hours at my desk, I impulsively hopped in the car with Lydia (my wife), Liam (my 2-year-old son), and Liliana (my 10-month-old daughter). We were going to Costco. I had seen an office chair there last weekend and my back was killing me. After buying ONLY the office chair…yeah right - it’s Costco. We bought $75 of beef jerky and yogurt-covered strawberries too…we got the kids some pizza from the food court. As the kids shoved their nutrition-packed, super-healthy dinner into every accessible orifice of their bodies, I listened to the guy - Jacob - at the Home Remodeling booth behind me. “Kitchen and bathroom upgrades?” If you don’t know, Costco has several sales booths around the store strategically positioned to annoy the shit out of you as much as possible. They’ll sell you pans, travel services, and - you guessed it - kitchen and bathroom upgrades. I watched him get rejected over and over, and I felt his pain. I hoped to see him make a sale, but while I was there, he never did. I felt his pain. Until I realized...I didn’t feel his pain AT ALL! Here’s why: I’ll take the pain of someone rejecting a $10,000 website from me over the pain of being a cog in the Costco machine ANY DAY! Read that again ⤴ ANY. FUCKING. DAY. So, today is Day 2. I’m not supposed to say this. But I’m going to anyway. I had a script prepared for this video today. I planned to tell you how “Refreshed”, I’m feeling. “Refresh (my new company) is live, and I feel…dare I say…refreshed?” Ick. On a life level, it’s true. I woke up this morning with no guaranteed paycheck. No promotions. No hr. No mone–lol I’m working on that one. And I love that feeling of freedom and possibility. And, damn am I tired. I was working on content and lead gen till 2am last night. Not the first time, won’t be the last. I feel fear for the unknowns. I feel excitement at the possibilities. I feel more happiness and freedom than I ever have. Mostly I feel a strong desire to put my head down and keep building. So, I’m gonna go do that now. See you tomorrow, Aaron “Refreshed” Fehlen
