FINAL: @DukeBASE clinches a big series win vs Louisville with a highly entertaining 10-8 victory, in a back and forth affair. Kaden Smith had a monster game to lead the offense, and Ben Dean finished it with 2 scoreless, attacking with very good stuff. Duke is now 7-7 ACC.

Kaden Smith - again! Unbelievable night for the @DukeBASE slugger - who pummels a first-pitch slider from Peter Michael for a 3-run jack in the 8th, putting Duke back ahead 10-8 in this wild affair.

Lots of action in the middle innings here at Duke. My guy Kade Elam just put @LouisvilleBSB back ahead 8-6 with a 3-run blast to left, hammering a center-cut changeup from Marcello Mastroianni. Three hits, 2 steals, 4 RBI tonight for Elam, a player I am very much in on.

So Kaden Smith is just plain red-hot right now for @DukeBASE. He puts the Devils ahead with a 2-run single up the middle on a 3-2 changeup from Jake Bean, 108 off the bat, then scores another - it's 6-4 Duke thru 6. Smith is 3-for-3 tonight, has 18 hits in his last 9 games.

And after Tague Davis led off the 6th with a laser single, Bayram Hot gives @LouisvilleBSB a 3-2 lead with a 2-run homer to right field. Bayram didn't give us much of a homer celebration though - no whooping or hollering or yelling. Kid's all business. I'll allow it.

You know who hits baseballs hard? Tague Davis hits baseballs hard.
Weaver got him to fan on 96 upstairs in the 1st. In the next battle, Davis ripped a 95 mph heater for a scorching single that exited the bat at 115 mph (!). In round 3, Davis laced another single on a changeup.

After that solo homer by Kaden Smith, Duke loaded the bases with no outs - but @LouisvilleBSB Wyatt Danilowicz caught a line drive and doubled off the runner at third, then used his big downer curve to get a chopper to end the inning. Big escape act there, keeps it just 2-1 Duke.

Every time I've seen @DukeBASE this spring or fall, Kaden Smith has been hurting baseballs - kid just makes a lot of hard contact. He's 2-for-2 today, just put Duke ahead 2-1 with a solo HR to left. Hit 14 HR last year at Charleston Southern; has 6 this year, leads team in OPS.
