@Mike_Ferrin @d1baseball @ShotgunSpr this is just a real question.. what metric would the committee use to seed Nebraska above Oregon? they have the same SOS (37/38) UO has 12 q1 wins, Nebraska has 9.. Oregon has series win vs USC, a win over UCLA and are 3-1 head to head?

DSR based on chess ELO ranking. Basically, it doesn’t ding you for beating bad teams, it does for losing to them, and it weighs weekends more heavily than midweek. It was designed for baseball (RPI is a hoops metric)

This is a pretty big deal. I know those of us who love college baseball want more & more faster & faster, but, if you’d told me in 2011 this would be happening, I’m not sure I’d have believed you.

Per the SEC’s Chuck Dunlap… Tomorrow’s SEC Tournament title between Georgia and Arkansas on ABC will be the first regular season college baseball game ever televised on a national over-the-air network channel. It will also be the first non-CWS game to appear on such a channel.

As a college coach, you are the CEO. Control who is on the roster, who is coaching with you, and dictate clubhouse culture.
In the majors, as Tony Vitello is learning, you don't have that level of control. I could see Grifol excelling at recruiting and connecting with families.

I might be in the minority, but I think Pedro Grifol's style of coaching will work well in the college game.
