@CoachDaveLove Would you not consider the quick movement on the catch similar to a dip?

Saying a player should ALWAYS dip the ball to get their rhythm is as incorrect as saying they NEVER should. Great shooters need to be able to shoot with different rhythms depending on the situation. Very few things in shooting are black and white, always/never answers.

Great example that you shouldn't ALWAYS dip the ball. Yes, for most youth players it is necessary for them to dip the ball to generate power. And it is fine to dip the ball when you have the time. But it's an advantage for players strong enough to not HAVE to dip the ball.
