Lincoln created the secession by blockading his own states and then invading them. He was the tyrant and treasonous not them. Dont give me this crap about Ft Sumter either because it was Lincoln's navy that fired the first shots there too, trying to collect illegal tariffs. He sent his armed war boats to SC beginning of April from NY and fired on ships BEFORE Sumter was attacked. No one was killed either they gave them every opportunity to surrender without casualties.

Despite the geopolitical conflicts and the endless talk of dedollarization, the world still runs on the US dollar as the ultimate safe haven.

On the other side of the world, China’s trade surplus just hit its lowest level in over a year. Even China Daily is sounding the alarm: their 1.4 billion barrel oil stockpile will only last 6 months. Despite BRICS pushing hard to ditch the dollar for oil trades, it’s not succeeding. The USD still dominates app. 80% of global oil sales. Beijing relied on cheap oil from Iran (90% of their exports) and Venezuela (half their output) to fuel its ambitions of dethroning America as the dominant global superpower. Now even that pipeline is cracking. They may be forced back to buying in USD. Amid all the proxy conflicts, the real showdown remains: USA vs. China.
