It will get to a stage very soon where people will start rejecting Deputy Governor position for a Senior Adviser role closer to the Governor. Let me tell you why: Right now, there are SAs who are practically at the State Government House micromanaging Ministries, Departments & Agencies across Katsina State, against public service established protocols. Except for a few cabinet members who are personally close to the Governor, some commissioners, most Perm Secs, and nearly all Directors in the civil service have been reduced to errand boys, reporting & often taking instructions from young advisers brought in by Gov Dikko Radda. One insider said to me “there's no seniority or due process anymore in this place”. He uttered in frustration, “Kanena (my younger brother), we are just marking time here.” If you dare stand in the way of one of these privileged SAs, you can easily be redeployed to a dead office or, in extreme cases, stagnated. Well, I told him that this isn’t unique to the state civil service, it’s happening everywhere. I asked why he couldn’t raise it with someone close to Dikko. He replied, “it’s futile, he’s fully aware, bcoz if the Governor doesn’t like it, it won’t happen.” I froze when he mentioned “even the Deputy Governor isn’t spared by SAs”.

Everybody is angry in this country. I witnessed four fights at the airport today, people charging at airline staff at the counter over the smallest things. The fuse is getting shorter everywhere. I just stood there laughing.🤣😂😂 Everybody dey collect for this country, reinstate subsidy in the best interest of national security. 😂

Removal of subsidies on PMS, unification of the exchange rate, and the shift to cost-reflective electricity tariffs alongside crude oil prices consistently trading above the budget benchmark have all improved fiscal conditions. His Highness is simply advocating for fiscal consolidation & reduced reliance on borrowing. He did not call anyone a thief.

Muttaqa’s story is one of destiny shaped by power plays. After the passing of President Yar’adua, he was at first considered, but ultimately overlooked for a ministerial slot. Shema chose instead to align with Obasanjo’s camp, paving the way for Murtala Shehu Musa Yar’adua to emerge Minister from Katsina. Again, when Hajiya Turai reportedly pushed for Muttaqa under Jonathan after the 2011 elections, Shema was all out to ensure Musa Sada, his close ally, got appointed Minister from Katsina State. Today, Muttaqa is set to become a Minister, while Shema serves as a Board Chairman, reporting to a Minister. Allah kenan! Back then, Muttaqa Rabe was among the figures that formed a powerful bloc in the villa that almost frustrated Shema during President Yar’adua’s short stay in office. With Muttaqa edged out of the race for Katsina Central Senate due to this appointment, the path is now tilting strongly in Masanawa’s favour, not Shema, not Audu Soja, because GOC is a life bencher in Katsina politics. BTW, anyone from Katsina won’t ask who is GOC, trust me. While I’m happy for Muttaqa, what I do know is, in Katsina Central, he’s a force that can defeat anybody, because he is to Katsina what Kwankwaso is to Kano, both command strong youth followings, driven by their commitment to educating children from poor backgrounds. Muttaqa dan dangi ne! Congratulations.

Education is not a myth, Alaji. I don’t think he has an opponent. I want to watch the debate. 🤣 Being represented by an educated person says more about the priorities of the electorate than it does about the competence of the elected official. Who Kaduna North chooses to represent them may seem like none of my business. But in reality, it is. A legislator from Kaduna contributes to laws that bind all of us, regardless of where we come from. So, the choices made by voters in every federal constituency affect us all, directly or indirectly. That’s how we degenerated from Abubakar Sadiq Yar’adua to a Sani Danlami. Kaduna must avoid sending misfits to the centre for our collective interests.

You know with Waziri, even bigger & more brutal dictators had to give in, let alone these learners. Not with Waziri breathing, opposition doesn’t just get crushed easily. This man has given his all for Nigerian democracy without getting the credit he truly deserves. To this day, Atiku is cognitively sharp & concise, comprehensive & experienced. No jabs, no slander, no sleaze, just straight to the point with decorum, dissecting the perennial failure of governance in Nigeria since 2007. Waziri is ready. Are you?

Had Tinubu allowed PDP, LP and NNPP to thrive without placing and financing moles to fight them, there wouldn’t have been Atiku, Obi and Kwankwaso sitting under one roof today. As a Hausa proverb wisely cautions, when digging a trap, do not make it so deep that if you fall into it, you cannot climb out.

Mallam Nasir El Rufai had a plan for our electricity. A clear plan that will end our power crisis but because they don't want progress, they remove him from the list. Listen to the challenges he mentioned, they are our exact realities today.

As part of my duty as a citizen, I wrote to the NSA to seek clarification on reports about the importation by his office of thallium sulphate, a very dangerous toxin. It’s a matter of concern if anyone brings in any poison, more so an odourless, colourless one.
