@Mattbird86 @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez Now if you're in the lower class, I'm sure you're all for this. I don't want their grubby corruption union mitts in my pockets. You want to let them steal your money, be my guest. But don't pretend it's not theft when we all know it is.

The 10 wealthiest people in the world now own $1,231,500,000,000 in wealth. They became $30,390,000,000 richer yesterday alone. 9 of them live in America - which has not raised the $7.25 an hour federal minimum wage in over 12 years. Never lose your sense of outrage.

@Mattbird86 @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez Their narrative is that it's the Billionaires against the middle class. The real fight is between the lower income earners and the middle class. They want to do everything to suck any wealth out of the middle class and redistribute it to the lower class.

@dubiousraves @Mattbird86 @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez You don't have to be a billionaire to get the same tax breaks. You just have to be smart. The Marxists of the progressive left talk about Billionaires like gates, but make no mistake, you and I are their real targets. They are not your friends.

@h36_lexii @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez EXACTLY! That's called corruption. The Marxists of the left would have you believe that socialism or communism will solve that problem. It doesn't. Ever. History has shown that time and again. Marxism belongs on the garbage heap of economic thought, a testimonial to failure.

@TheRareKind But the real problem is the way this has been framed. "Hoard Wealth?" No one has any right to tell another person what to do with the money they've earn. Not you, me or Bill Gates. It's the way common thieves justify their actions. "He can afford it!" And the left knows this.

@Abbot63305486 If you can state definitively that money isn’t the solution, why is it important that the ultra rich keep so much of it? What problem does it solve to allow them to hoard wealth? Also, what do you suggest we do to solve societal problems that DOES NOT require money?

@TheRareKind You ask a very good question, that deserves a response. Can you pay a racist not to be racist? Can you pay a thief not to be a thief? Can you pay a murder not to be a murderer. Yes, you can, but does that solve the problem?

@jpnairn @johnlogic @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez Doesn't change the fact that it was millions of customers that gave him that money and made him rich. Now you're changing the argument. First it was "he's got too much money, so billionaire people need to give it back." Now it's "He stole it all, he has to give it back."

@openidtry @VarnumMarji Reality check: You can't stop them from going offshore. Ever. There is no such thing as fancy accounting, contrary to popular belief. The IRS is very good at stopping that, and so no new policy is needed in that regard.

@venturemike1 @SenAngusKing The focus on the ABC test is only one part, and the one proposed by Veena Dubal's marxist musings, which the CA socialist agenda courts embraced. Yes, some freelancers focus on the ABC test, to help bring awareness to it, but the vast majority see the whole act as garbage.

@venturemike1 @SenAngusKing The most insidious problem with Ab5/The ProAct is that it throws out decades of case law and puts the burden of reestablishing new case law on the backs of business and freelancers. In CA there is a couple facing 60K in fines for one incident.

@thaliasmokey @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez So the only way to solve that problem is to take money away from people who earned it, and redistribute it to those who didn't. That's communism. It's a failed ideology, and THE most oppressive systems invented.

@thaliasmokey @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez That assumes money can fix everything. It can't. How many millions has CA spent on housing? Is that problem solved? Nope. At a certain point, one has to recognize that money isn't the answer to everything. (I'm talking about taxes and government spending, not minimum wage)

@thaliasmokey @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez I can understand that, and agree, to a point. How about we stop spending trillions on useless wars, wars that both Democrats and Republicans approved? That's why they go after billionaires. Dems and republicans don't want to spend less and need to attack someone to distract us.

@thaliasmokey @GunnelsWarren @LorenaSGonzalez And I am more concerned about a politician telling me to be outraged at billionaires, when it's the politicians that are spending, and wasting, way more money than all of the people on that list will ever make. CA is set to spend 272 Billion dollars for this year alone.
