Earlier today at about 2:31pm along Uturu Road near Abia State University (ABSU), I experienced one of the most traumatizing moments of my life. I boarded a mini bus to get an item back to my lodge when some policemen without name tags stopped our vehicle at a checkpoint. They ordered me to step down, which I peacefully did. Immediately, they collected another passenger’s phone and began interrogating him aggressively about what he does for a living. Moments later, one of them turned to me and asked why I was using 3 phones. I calmly explained to them that I am a student and that the phones were bought with my hard-earned money. Instead of listening, they dragged me, my brother, and another passenger into a nearby bush and started harassing us for absolutely no reason. Before we knew what was happening, more officers joined them and they began beating us mercilessly like criminals, even though we were just students who came to ABSU to study and build our future. My brother and I sustained serious injuries during the assault. My ear is currently blocked, I can barely hear properly, and it has been bleeding because of the torture we faced in the hands of these officers...my phone screen also got broken. The most painful part was the constant threats they made. They said they could shoot us and nothing would happen. They also said they could make sure we never graduate from school. Imagine hearing such terrifying words from the same people meant to protect citizens. My only “crime” was owning 3 phones. ABSU students are no longer feeling safe. Police harassment, intimidation, and extortion around Uturu are becoming unbearable. Students are living in fear every day. We came here for education, not to be brutalized and treated like criminals for no reason💔. @PoliceNG @TunjiDisu1 @PoliceNG_CRU @dammiedammie35 @ChuksEricE @HarrisonBbi18 @MaureenChinaka @alexottiofr @winexviv @aleeygiwa @YomiShogunle

I seek Allah's protection from not being a 1000% dropper.
SNO🫱🏾‍🫲🏼@unhingedSNO

@Abbas_bnSanusi This is why I would never be an 100% money dropper, so I won’t be too stressed to support emotionally. If I drop some part my wife also must drop some part so that way we can you know feel the struggles together

I never imagined I would have to write this. My name is Fawwaz, and right now, I am fighting for my health, my education, and my future. I am currently pursuing an LLM in Cyprus, but my life has been put on hold due to serious health challenges I can no longer face alone. 🧵

I was just two years post call, and one of my bosses gave me this file of a land matter that has been in court since 2017( I haven't even been called to bar when the case was instituted). After being fully briefed, I thoroughly read the file to understand the facts of the case and got prepared for the continuation of hearing. My dad had warned me to stop shaking litigants whenever I'm in court, but on this fateful day, I forgot. The Oosa of the community( a chieftaincy title holder), where the land in dispute is located is a renowned Professional Land Grabber and was thoroughly cross examined by me and Baba lost his temper when I questioned if he was a legitimate child of the man from whom he lays claim of the land in dispute. After court proceedings, Baba came to me and said: "Iwo Agbejoro yii, Iwo ni won ran wa bayii. O sharp gaan oo".( You this lawyer, you are the one sent. You are quite tough), and he gave this wicked smile. A few minutes later, I was done packing and about to leave when he stretched his hand, and I shook him, too. Believe you me, that was the last thing I knew. The driver of my boss who drove me to court said he drove me at a high speed to the hospital and I was unconsciously saying they should take me to Abu Salman, an Islamic Cleric who sells Islamic Medicine at Oja Oba. He claimed I was talking, but my eyes were closed, and my head was puffy. Come and see recitation of Ruq'yah by these wonderful Islamic clerics as I was fed with enormous Ajwa Dates and Zamzam water for days. It was that time I knew the importance of Hijama( Cupping), Habatul Zawda( black seed), and Zaitun ( olive oil) in combating the evil eye/ black magic in Islam. Alhamdulillah I made it alive. Since then,I have been extremely careful, watchful, and prayerful. Any opportunity in my prayers, na to cast and bind evil. Human beings are wicked, especially to lawyers. Again, the world is spiritual, don't lose guard ooo. If you do, they will enter you well well. Ire oo!!!

Prof Alaro spoke extensively on this, I hope I can find the tape. The conclusion is that whatever is known in a community as send forth to a bride can be considered an aqd. For example, in this case if the father expects the bride to go home with her husband after the

We then had to meet with the bride's father to explain what Nikkah is in Islam and how it's done. After that, the father proclaimed giving out his daughter, and the groom accepted her in the correct manner.

The average Ram you can get for Eid is between 160/190k, then if you want to work on a good budget 200k to 400k. it’s going to be a crazy year but ways will come.

Sad to see individualism becoming a Muslim culture. A small nikaah with your immediate family along with a banquet for the entire community - not the events where access is limited by invitation was the standard we had. Walimah is meant to feed people and seek baraka through it.
