Wife had been admitted for a small surgery and there has been a very negligent response from the team of Health Insurance TPA of India Ltd who have rejected a claim, which as not even in lakhs, by simply sending a denial letter without any clarification for a policy that has been there for nearly a decade now. There has been no response whatsoever and no questions asked. This has been my first experience of dealing with a TPA and found this one a very unprofessional organisation.

After four family members died in Mumbai’s Pydhonie, FDA Commissioner Shridhar Dube Patil said no action will be taken against fruit vendors until a direct link to watermelon consumption is scientifically established. Police have sent food samples, including watermelon, to the Forensic Science Laboratory and are probing multiple angles like contamination and medical history. Officials say nothing is confirmed yet and have urged citizens to avoid rumours. ✍🏻: @AbhitashS 📷: Sameer Abedi

At Navi Mumbai's Nerul Science Park, the project remained incomplete after years, with Phase 1 still under construction, raising concerns about delays, planning issues, and execution. The park was planned with interactive science exhibits, learning models, and educational displays, but only structures were seen. Silence for a year now. Central Railway Mumbai Divisional Railway Manager Hiresh Mina has boycotted the media for over a year now. He has not been speaking to journalists at all despite multiple attempts at all levels. Occupying one of the most critical public-facing roles in a city where the suburban railway network is the lifeline, the absence of any media engagement raises serious questions. The DRM is the administrative head of the division—and is accountable to millions of daily commuters who rely on transparent communication. He has been meeting activists and politicians but has effectively kept the media away for over a year now since he took charge. In a metropolis like Mumbai, where railways are deeply embedded in everyday life, such sustained silence from the top undermines public trust. Heading the railways in a city like Mumbai and not speaking to the media reflects a worrying shift in public accountability. Can a person heading the system that moves millions daily afford to remain this disconnected? Appeal to him to get along and speak

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty reportedly used “police” markings and flashing lights on his private SUVs, drawing attention as such features are restricted to official law enforcement vehicles. Authorities said his vehicles were privately registered, making the use of such markings punishable under law. His request for added security from Mumbai Police remained under consideration. ✍️: @Khanmidday 📷: @DAVENIMESH

Wheelers book stalls going! It is the end of an era of Nobel laureate Rudyard Kipling's dream on Indian Railways. One of Indian Railways’ most iconic features—the Wheeler book stalls— are set to disappear from stations across Mumbai’s Western Railway network, marking the end of a nearly century-old legacy. #Mumbai

Mumbai moment: at a city bus depot run by BEST (the public bus network) at Bandra, the ceiling is so worn out that workers now sit under wire mesh nets—not for design, but to catch falling concrete. This is the system that keeps one of the world’s busiest cities moving. 🚍
