It's kind of interesting how people basically just lie about what happens in Mushoku Tensei. I don't even know why they do, either. Rudeus basically treats Julie like his adopted daughter, he makes her his apprentice, teaches her magic, and outright says "she isn't a slave"

The reality Rudeus does become overpowered in the LN and without spoiling too much, he evens secretly influences the world albeit with a God's help but no he's really only motivated to change the world when directly concerns his family or friends

Many people also blame Rudeus for not doing much about slavery in this world. Not really thinking that he's not an overpowered wizard who can do all that. He's not like Perugius or Orsted who can impose his will forcefully. He's powerful but he's not the strongest.

Again, it's not a flaw if the story never treats it like one.

@KizzityKaito Literally his own first wife said she EXPECTED this of him. She was mentally prepared for this. She acknowledged he is a bit of a horn dog. She ACCEPTED his flaws before she ever said "I do" NO idea what you are talking about with him seemingly not being flawed.
