The Yoruba’s are one of the most learned people in Nigeria. Extremely smart. That is why it’s so terrible that the worst of them rules over the best of them. Take a look at the way the leaders have abandoned them to elevate thugs. Look at the roads, look at the unemployment. For example, this area in Ayobo-Itele Lafenwa has over 32 schools including 2 universities and this is how the children go to school everyday. Meanwhile nobody cares because the man in Aso Rock didn’t even go to school in the first place. Tomorrow the kids will be proud of themselves and boast that every child in the area has got a degree but their way of life has nothing to show for it. UNDEVELOPED. That must change. Our intelligent ones should not suffer while the daft ones rule because they can rig elections with thugs. The people who announce and assist to rig election results are professors, and they do this because they are bribed and they accept these bribes because they are not paid properly and they aren’t paid properly because our politicians do not value education, that is why they insist you can even run for office with ordinary WAEC, besides how many of our professors can afford to buy forms to run for office? Professors should be the ones getting the salaries of those Senators. It is no small feat to be able to impact knowledge and they are not paid adequately for those services. We must get a New Nigeria. Again: The worst of us are ruling the best of us.
