@KerrDepression I still think it's worth discussing. I believe it's not solely based on these reports. The most sound one is probably from Abdullah ibn Amr you could aregue it means otherwise. After all, many of the Tabi'in noted this ambiguity, and Al-Tabari mentioned it as a valid ikhtilaf

I am surprised at the recent MT discourse around Hell in Islam. Especially the citing of some really baseless or isolated reports to justify the “emptying” of the fire. Here is a brief thread on an authentic tradition from a companion on this issue.

@KerrDepression @realLPBeria interestingly, hadiths regarding not killing are def daif, and this is stronger. then they argue baqarah 178. but they never said a female shouldn't be killed by a female to stay consistent, and they argue maidah 45 is from previous sharia. it's the strangest dispute in history

I wonder if any wars or schisms have occurred over this question

@bourema_imad @KerrDepression depends on what you mean by "real caliphates" if you mean shura and full justice then yes it is even mentioned in a hadith, if you mean not a caliphate at all ? this is against the consensus sense both were called caliphates by the salaf

So I don't know what this message is. But since it seems like he was able to dig up dirt from years before i even knew him and is threatening to "expose" me.. I want to get ahead of this. 2 years might not seem like a long time, but here is what happened since then: •I left the religion and community I grew up in, and moved out alone basically starting a new life •I cut off my entire old social circle because i didnt agree with the way they talk anymore •i met new people from different cultures which helped me develop new beliefs and ways of thinking •as a result, i now talk to none of the people i used to talk to back then, and i disagree with everything i stood for back then. I also did cut off a LOT of people from my life because of their use of slurs This person knows this, and he knows my current beliefs and standards are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, yet he is digging up old stuff maliciously. 
Like I said idk what the message could be about, i dont recall myself being the type of person who would say a racial slur like that. But if it ended up being a slip-up i made 2 years ago that he nitpicked specifically for defamation, i would like to apologize sincerely. 
I was in a bad friend group back then, and I did have some messed up beliefs so I really don't know what i could've said and in what context. I will make an effort to be more public about my current beliefs and views from now on

@KItreal512 oh my god, you're entire response is just "you said nasibi other then rafidhi so what you said is invalid" and not actually address you're poor diagrams, you cannot show a CL without showing how the narration branch, whatever bro, go learn icma before larping like that

Why don’t you explain how such graphs impact my own analysis and conclusions? I don’t expect you to be able to answer that since you don’t even know the difference between ‘nasibi’ and ‘rafidhi’. I focused on the clusters relevant to establishing CL’s. My objective was not to map out every narration of the hadith.

“ no branching or schools” What? As for your scans they are chapter headings which could be later scribes. Did you check the manuscripts if Ibn Hajar’s handwriting wrote those chapter headings with the honorific for Mu’awiyah? When you’re capable of checking those things then talk.
