this is kind of my problem with a lot of professional voice actors online. they do this “voice acting voice” and it doesn’t sound natural or good (to me) at all. schlatts audio is fucked but he sounds the most natural.

@CreatorCStudios @imdoingheroin He’s a pretty good actor in some real stuff I agree. I don’t know if I’d say he was hired JUST as a friend but I think it was also convenient to know someone close who’s a professional VA. I just don’t think Arin really rocks the role for Gobbles sadly 😭

@AbsoluteRealQ @imdoingheroin feels so much like ross giving his friend a role than choosing someone fit for the role. i dont even dislike arin voice acting in shit. his actual voice is pretty funny especially when he's yelling but god damn it just feels so out of place when he's in this role lol

@wp_embroidery @imdoingheroin Oh yeah don’t get me wrong, sometimes voice acting will require you to put on a voice unlike your own. I just mean that voice acting will likely want your acting over your voice. If you can pull off that voice, you’re halfway there, but if you can’t perform it then it’s rough

-Like Gobbles is doing an impression of a deep grainy voice instead of actually having one. Characters like Flappers have wacky voices but at least it sounds like his actual voice, sorta like SpongeBob sounding unnatural but it feels like he just sounds like that. (4/5)

I said this before but I wanna say it more in-depth since a lot of people misunderstand it. Voice acting is supposed to be ACTING with your voice. It’s not about being able to pull off a voice that sounds unlike you, it’s about being able to ACT with that voice. You can- (1/5)

Idk what’s going on with his mic, but Schlatt is one of the few YouTubers that sounds natural as a voice actor. Yeah he’s just using his regular speaking voice, but he’s got a very good voice for this sort of thing.

Why do almost all Glitch fans see people upset or giving criticism about something and call it “discourse” like I’m sure some people are acting like that but it’s very much majority people critiquing a scene that, admittedly, deserves criticism for future improvement

@FloopMother @SwaggerSoda I’m not saying they shouldn’t be main characters, I like gobbles and his whole gimmick of learning over time would be fun to watch, and flappers is alright, but I think that the voices are a little much for how much we see them. They sound like they’re forcing their own voices
