Another small fix on the RS200 chassis today. That front lower panel was especially moth eaten. It's still under there but with a new one fitted over the top & fully welded along the front edge.

Prepping K7's engine today. This is a wire-wound fuel filter. There's lots of these in the fuel system to capture bits swilling about in the kerosene. This one is getting a clean before being refitted.

In 66/67 waste fuel & oil, & there's quite a lot of it, was blown overboard into the lake using air from the engine. Can't do that nowadays so it's blown to a specially made catch tank & removed from there.

@bluebirdk7 Safety first always. No need to damage this beautiful machine. Just hoping everybody comes to a mutually acceptable agreement very soon so that K7 can do her thing and for all to see, and you get to maintain her and her systems whilst in and under the protection of the RM team.

On this day in 2018
The plan was the first high speed run & find out if K7 would rise to her planing points. Perfect launch, everyone in position. No engine, only a mist of unburned kerosene. It turned out to be our first encounter with the igniter gremlin! 😡😡😡
