I think what we’ve seen over the past few months is that building a new ecosystem just isn’t easy, whether it’s Abstract, Berachain, MegaETH, Monad, or others. You can either assume they’re all scams, or you can admit that most of them are genuinely trying to experiment with and build new primitives. I’m still very excited about what Abstract is building, what Berachain is trying, and what MegaETH is pushing toward. I wouldn’t wish on any chain what Zcash went through, years of “depression” and lack of momentum, but that’s also a possible reality for any new ecosystem. You won’t necessarily get the best traction immediately. The classic “chain farming” playbook is dead, and honestly, that’s probably a good thing. Better to close that chapter and move on. Sometimes you need to iterate on ideas, improve the product, and keep building, whether that takes a week, a month, or a year. Very excited about MOSS and the future applications launching on MegaETH.

@0xbeiu Yep the goal was real usage all along from the team's perspective IMO. It's a fantastic opportunity to keep using apps daily regardless of rewards, precisely when most people lose interest and got the feeling it will pay off big time.

It might be disappointing or it might not be. But the value proposition was always innovative dapps with real time speed. This doesn't change regardless of $MEGA token price action or amount of rewards for Season 1 IMO. But where MegaETH has been found lacking was admittedly the number and variety of apps several months after Mainnet and therefore USDm adoption (since USDm is needed for mega apps). That is a clear issue and one of the team's shortcomings. But they have now realized and will adjust strategy.

Willing to stomach some red on my $MEGA (which is mostly currently committed on flux) for a while because I still believe team ethos, vision and product stand out. Gotta say I liked the Terminal concept and thought that was a good way to bring attention and activity to MegaETH apps, but I trust the team's judgement on this. They were always able to receive constructive feedback and face objectively what data was telling them to act on both quickly. Agreed, the points system was probably not the best idea, despite the Terminal being well designed. And I think the team realized and took action. Takes some guts to admit you went the wrong route and stop it before it makes further damage while also being exposed to harsh critics and FUD. Not surprised with this PA, and it hurts ngl, but I wouldn't call it trial and error as a systematic approach either. If you're gonna innovate, nobody's gone there before you, there will be stuff that you will get wrong on the way. Short term pain, long term bullish for me.

Personally, my issue is that MegaETH is gradually starting to look like a “trial and error” project. I’ve been supportive of the incentive program, but the point system was where things went wrong. It created too many expectations and exposed the team to heavy scrutiny, with questions about whether some teams were favored over others, and how points were distributed. The core issue was introducing a point system in the first place. A simple announcement of the incentive program would have been enough to keep the community active without building such high expectations.

But it is true some things could have been done better, which will be acted on I have no doubt.

Not trying to spread FUD, but when things aren’t being done well, it needs to be said. It’s also smart from MegaETH to try a different strategy if the terminal didn’t work, but so far we’re not seeing much positive in the ecosystem Token down badly, NFT collections losing a lot of value, and low active users Aside from a few projects like @TopStrikeIO , @mnstr , etc., most of what I see are extraction/gambling-style projects that don’t really add value to the ecosystem.

MegaETH just shut down their Terminal and the ecosystem is collapsing in real time -Main NFT collections down 70% -Token below ICO price Any project that decided to launch on their network right now is in serious trouble Here is the real lesson: -In Web3 anyone can raise money -Raising $20M, $50M, $500M does not mean you have a team that knows how to build, execute and retain users @megaeth had the hype, the backing and the attention What they did not have was a sustainable ecosystem strategy The Terminal was supposed to be the hub that kept people engaged Shutting it down is not a pivot It is an admission that the retention never worked RIP $MEGA Are u still holding?

There's a reason Bad Bunnz was the top NFT collection pledged to on @megaeth Terminal, by a mile. @badbunnz_ are far more than a PFP collection. We've told you many times. They proved it even more. You will not see this breed of builders give up. They simply will not stop shipping.

What could be seen as a potential failure of the project, I see as an opportunity. If you missed the @OffshoreOnMega pre-sale, there was literally no better entry, this is what you should have been looking forward to. I was always skeptical of ponzis, but Offshore team is still shipping even though hype has faded, they are hard at work and actively taking feedback on Discord and iterating on it. I also think the game is really well designed, fun and addictive. $DIRTY is currently dirt cheap : perfect time to acquire assets and build up your enterprises!! Currently at a slight loss myself, but running operations is a lot cheaper than before and my $USDm payout from Swiss vault is slowly closing the gap. Terminal ended but @megaeth apps are still very much worth using.
