@nasirgan Since Pixar execs have screwed over Disney since "Tangled," I wonder what if Disney never bought them; they'd be technologically behind for a bit, but probably creatively stronger. They'd probably still go through the 2000s comedy era though since animation saw it as profitable.

@korif1re I know the whole issue was about redundancy, but that's the thing: comics are either always changing things (even when people prefer they don't) or they're repetitive simply because comics are meant to go on forever. This specific issue was a major issue.

@GENERALZOD1886 My instinct would be Iron Man and Captain America--but that's not right. I think Marvel has more A-listers and heroes who get significant attention in contrast to DC, who seems to kind of keep it on a select few.

@auminiii I wouldn't say anorexic; it was just doll standards (and most of them were technically dead). I do think the cruel comments at Catty's body is unnecessary, though. Change isn't always received positively, but there are other ways to iterate your distaste.

the fact that all the monster high characters in g1 looked anorexic and had unrealistic body standards too but no one ever said anything about that

@shadydoorags Like you said, a lot of media is about going against fate. It'd be nice if we had more media with a less rebellious attitude about it--especially since fate should be final, thus your rebellion is already taken into account.

The concept of soulmates, on its own, isn't the worst thing in the world, but I, personally, have had more negative experiences with it than positive ones and I think there's a very easy explanation as to why. A common flaw made in storytelling is when something happens clearly because the writer wanted/needed it to rather than because it's something the character(s) would do. "Soulmates" is usually the excuse writers make when they really want/need two characters to be together, regardless if that's the best and/or most organic decision for the story. Also, from what I've seen, most people tend to like media that promotes not being a slave to fate. Soulmates is the opposite of that and it gets under your skin when it's a ship you don't like.

@Vanyabug Honestly I feel like a lot heroes introduced between the end of the Multiverse saga to now have been underutilized.

People blame Hailee but it's really Marvel's fault. She signed up to be a character in this interconnected movie/show franchise only for them to genuinely have no interest in doing anything with Kate Bishop for years. I don't blame her for doing other things

@whoisdietpepsi While I was cool with Josh Gad playing him at first, I remembered that Quasimodo is Romani, so having a Romani or mixed-Indian actor should be the goal for that. And I PRAY a live-action remake is similar to the film, NOT the stage musical they made.

The live-action remake of The Hunchback of Notre Dame was announced by Disney in 2019, with Josh Gad producing and a script by David Henry Hwang. Inspired by the film and Victor Hugo’s novel, it’s now on hold due to its darker tone. No release date has been announced.
