You called me “ofe mmanu” because we supposedly have oil in excess, yet in the same breath you accuse us of stealing oil you claim we don’t have 😀 make it make sense.
Some of you are genuinely obsessed with this false narrative that oil money “built” a region that was already commercially and politically advanced long before Lugard was even born.
Ẹ̀kọ́ and major Yorùbá cities were already thriving through trade, governance, agriculture, craftsmanship, and international commerce before colonial Nigeria even existed.
Amadithegreat ¤@Redstar4live
@kootujirian Look at this ofe mmanu parasites, you steal people oil and use it in your rusty region and think you still have right to deny others from getting jobs. I don't blame you , I blame luggard for this British mistake which you leeches are the biggest beneficiary

@TheGrandmaBoy Does this guy have anyone who advices him at all! Like, how can someone be this pathetically foolish.

🚨 YOU COULDN’T MAKE THIS UP 🚨
This is the problem with Reform UK candidates.
Joshua Kim wins in Blaenau Gwent Caerffili Rhymni… and when the returning officer goes looking for him to announce the result, he’s nowhere to be found because he never expected to win and was still at work. 😭
He reportedly arrived 45 minutes later after the hall had already started being reorganised for a football match.
And this is the party asking people to trust them with government?

English

@B0lutife Bolutife, kpai is actually coined from Payin. To literarily kill someone.
English

"Kpai" is a pidgin word that the Yorubas didn't claim even it's close to "pa" (Yoruba word for kill).
If we didn't claim "kpai", how then are we going to claim "omugo".
Our language is rich and deep enough, we care less about Ibo language.
Odinaka Udalor(Sacramento)🐦🔥@OUdalor42746
@nzemmili The word Omugo will soon be theirs in a few years time. As almost all of them have adopted the word.
English

Personally, I think it's wrong for the UK to let non-nationals vote. But you know what's more wrong? Living in a town where a councillor says melt Nigerians for potholes and 53% of voters agree. I'd rather live in a place that's actually safe and not racist, even if that means I can't vote, than stay somewhere my existence is the problem they're running on.

They attack you because you’re a trailblazer.
Bank that.
Imagine more Yoruba voices on this app—unafraid to correct lies, defend our culture, and stand on business.
Their entire agenda would crumble. And they know it. That’s why they’re scared.
Let’s be clear: other tribes don’t want a weak Yoruba nation—they want a liberal one. Because that’s their only pathway to relevance.
Fast forward 20 years:
· An Eze making games about Orishas
· “Uzo” rebranding our fabrics as “Lagos culture”
· Migrants rebranded as “Lagos Igbo”
Meanwhile, they’ll try to tell our children in Ibadan that they co-created Owanbe. And Uzo’s art will be Exhibit A.
We can’t let that happen.
To everyone holding the line—God bless you. I’m rooting for you. 🧡

For a while now, I’ve endured coordinated attacks simply because I chose to correct misinformation about my culture and speak openly about Yorùbá traditions.
What started as me providing context and sharing history somehow became grounds for insults, smear campaigns, and being labelled things I have never been.
I’ve been called an extremist, an APC paid bot and even a terrorist for saying nothing more controversial than “This is Yoruba culture.” Meanwhile, I have never attacked anyone unprovoked, spread hate, or made bigoted statements about anybody. I’ve simply defended my culture when I saw it being misrepresented. When all of you preferred to look on while our cultural heritage gets continually watered down and dissected.
I’m Yorùbá and I've always been proud of it. I've had this handle for over a decade, before a Yorùbá man ever became Nigeria's president. People are free to disagree, but demonising me for cultural advocacy is unfair. I know my heart is clean, and I will never be ashamed of speaking the truth respectfully and standing by where I come from.
I honestly don’t care about any of those bigots spreading these narratives, my advocacy has always been for Yorùbá people to learn and embrace our culture. You don’t have to be as passionate about it as I am, but the least you can do is not pretend that there is no justification for the work I do. And I hope someday, you will see the need for this advocacy.
To everyone who defended me, checked in on me or simply showed kindness, thank you. I truly appreciate it.
Ènìyàn láṣọ mi. ❤️

This is secondary. The first thing we have to ensure is that nobody not indigenous to the land is allowed to hold political office. Let the Awori govern Awori land, let the Ijebu govern Ijebu land in Palmgroove and Surulere, etc. Holding our politicians accountable is not a problem. There are reasons the SW Yoruba land is the most prosperous region in Nigeria. Holding our leaders accountable is one of them.
Yoruba youths must understand their position in the contraption called Nigeria. Our experiences are not the same. We do not fight the same battles. Some people are fighting battles of water fountains; we are fighting intercity rail lines.
The police can kill them in broad daylight in Delta. That can’t happen in the SW. We have to keep things in proper perspective.
Have a fab night.

Some of you see rot in real time. Funds stolen. Tribalism rewarded. Nepotism defended. And you say nothing. Not a whisper. Not a post. But the moment people rise to name the evil, you find your voice. Not to condemn the thief, but to silence the outcry.
Let me be clear. People like you are a cancer.
You are not neutral. You are not wise. You are cowards dressed in the cloak of "balance." You watch an elected representative, sworn to serve, armed with federal resources meant for the hungry, the jobless, the forgotten, divert everything to kin and clan. And you stay mute. Then you have the audacity to compare protesters to the problem.
No. That makes you worse than the thief. Because the thief at least knows what they are. You are decay pretending to be reason.
If no one has told you today, you are a cancer. And cancers are better ignored, cut out, or left behind. We see your agenda. You are not even clever with your clannish games. Just loud enough to fool the lazy, quiet enough to protect the corrupt.
We will not apologize for naming evil. And we will not stop because you are uncomfortable.
Stay silent if you want. But do not expect us to mistake your silence for wisdom.
We know what you are.

I still think the middle belt, specifically Kogi, would be perfect for this because of direct access to water and potential hydro power plants

@Adaigboglobal Trust me on this, if you return to Akwa Ibom, you will not have to pay to LIRS!
English

If there is any uproar we need to have in Nigeria, it
should be about the marginalization of those living
outside their states of origin. When Akpabio
returns from South Africa, he should come and
remove the cloak in the eyes of Nigerians. Our
lives matter too
This is my personal one-month tax contribution to
the Lagos State Government for March 2026. I
cannot pay this money to the Akwa lbom State
Government; I am mandated to pay it to Lagos
State. Yet in the same Lagos where I pay these
taxes, someone from lbadan, Ogun, Ondo, or Ekiti
who pays zero taxes, will come out to tell me it is
wrong if I am sent for government training with tax
payers money:
If I were paying taxes in a sane society, I should
even be entitled to salaries from the government if
I lose my job. But here, we pay for nothing, and
some people will still say I cannot benefit from
government programs because my surname is not
Adekoya, Ajayi, or Olusola.
If Nigeria is not ready for true federalism, let us
know, so that everyone will pay taxes to their own
state and demand benefits from their
representatives there. We cannot only read the
constitution when it comes to taxing us, but
suddenly be told to be "sensitive" when it comes to
enjoying benefits. So charging me huge taxes isn't
insensitive, but asking for benefits is?
If you live anywhere in Nigeria and believe a citizen
does not deserve government benefits simply
because his parents aren't from that city, you are
worse than those displaying xenophobia in South
Africa. The finger you point at South Africa is
pointing back at you.
How many of you so-called Yoruba people are
paying taxes in Lagos State? How many? I wake up
every day in rain and sunshine to go to work, taxing
myself and ensuring that the Lagos State
Government is funded.
Yet you, contributing nothing, think you are more
deserving simply because you bear a Yoruba
surname. Iku pa e. Bring your tax certificate or
pank alert here, let's see what you actually
contribute to the state.
