Staff Nurses Leigh and Eillie have been working hard to ensure patient mouthcare is one of our priorities in ACCU! The education board has been updated, a new mouthcare chart has been introduced as well as specialised toothbrushs for patient use. Well done ladies! 🦷🪥😁

We had a special guest in the unit today! Stuart spent 8 weeks with us, 10 weeks in hospital in total and made it home just before Christmas! It was fantasic to see how amazing Stuart looks! We love to see patient recovery and so grateful for his visit today! Consent gained.

We had a very special visitor to our unit tonight. Almost one year after her admission to ACCU, Jeanie returned to her bed space where she spent 12 days over Christmas on a ventilator. It was fantastic to see Jeanie looking amazing and doing so well! Photo posted with consent.
