@DrJesseMorse Harder to find good things being said. Unless you read through their promo packet. 😂 Appealing to stay away from surgery though

PRP, platelet rich plasma, a quite popular form of regenerative medicine that can help to significantly improve pain and functionality in mild to moderate orthopedic conditions (arthritis, tendinitis, back pain, meniscus etc).
Although, it is WAY more complicated than people think it is.
The majority of the doctors that perform PRP injections likely learned their information and skills from the drug rep, who sold them the kit.
Therefore, the information and education they received is limited. They are receiving bias information.
The performing physicians should be learning about PRP and ‘stem cells’ from a high-level course that discusses all the benefits, complications, injection styles and different brands.
Most of the commercially available kits/brands don’t make enough PRP volume (5 cc), and they also do not meet the threshold criteria for true PRP (they are usually 2-4x baseline platelet count, under 1m platelets/ml).
Another important point to make is that most physicians who perform these injections usually only do one or two total injections to the joint (knee, shoulder).
This is subpar and NOT worth your time.
You are going to get poor results and miss out on the true power of PRP because of the performing physician’s (poor) choices (volume, brand, injecting technique).
Personally, when I inject a knee to address any instabilities, a torn meniscus, arthritis, or a shoulder, addressing a rotator cuff injury or torn labrum, I’m using at least 12 cc of PRP, usually closer to 24 cc at one time. Most doctors inject 5 cc.
Instead of 1 injection into the knee or shoulder and ‘hoping’ the PRP magically gets to each area it is needed, I perform 10-12 injections. We don’t ’hope,’ we execute.
Furthermore, the injections should NOT be ‘blind.’ They should be performed under ultrasound guidance.
Additionally, most mild to moderate injuries require at least 2 rounds of PRP, usually 3.
So if you’re getting 1 round of weak PRP, 5 cc in volume you’re not even really getting true PRP.
Don’t be afraid to ask the physician where they learned how to spin and inject the products. What brand they use. How much volume they use. How often they performed these injections.
‘Good’ PRP should cost at least $1,000 per joint. If it’s less than this then you’re getting garbage and it’s not true PRP, and it’s not worth your time.
Criteria for ‘true’ (good) PRP:
1. Double-spin kit/brand
2. At least 5x baseline platelet count (1.2m+)
3. 12+ cc of PRP
4. $1000+ per round
5. At least 5-10 injections per body part
6. Under ultrasound guidance
All PRP is not created equal.
There are ‘levels’ to this.
Don’t settle for subpar services because you will be disappointed.

@DrJesseMorse Trying BPC and TB4 peptides now before deciding next steps but that is setting me back $1k just for a month cycle 😓
English

@DrJesseMorse I was quoted almost $10k from QC Kinetics for my shoulder. “But only another $4k for the second”! Feel like I could get better treatment (for less) traveling to Germany or South America. Felt more like I was being fed a sales pitch than actually seeing doctors

@realEstateTrent Interesting question as I just started applying more money to my principal. Shaving 8 years off my mortgage to have it paid off by 60 years old. Saving 10’s of thousands in interest overall on the loan. Seems like a “safe” bet. However I also need to apply more diversification

@RussoHockey Maybe the league should make an exception for the @mnwild given the cap hell they’ve imposed for previous contracts they approved then subsequently penalized for 🤷🏼♂️ 😡
English

You’re not gonna believe this, Dylan Ferguson - the goalie the #mnwild signed two days ago just in case Fleury or Gustavsson got hurt or sick - got hurt last night. So with Jesper Wallstedt hurt and Samuel Hlavaj making too much money, the Wild’s in a pickle w Fleury sick
Michael Russo@RussoHockey
Sounds like #mnwild won’t be able to get a goalie here from Iowa, so Fleury’s gonna have to back up or it’ll be an EBug. @youngbeaups’ save percentage at the morning skate was solid
