UPDATE: "Chance-Based" has also been removed from #AceCombat 8's provisional rating in Australia. It was previously removed from the Xbox store back in January. Now, there is no evidence left of any chance-based microtransactions (i.e. lootboxes) in the game.

Once an hour, if your device was set to April 1, a swarm of Bacura would fly down from the top of the screen. Scrapped ideas included autoplaying the game music (bad idea on websites) and being able to shoot them down (didn't have enough time to code it, maybe next year?).

Nugget will apparently be posting some details about the world of Ace Combat to prepare for 8, likely for new fans unfamiliar with the world. We'll keep watch for any new info that may come up.

台詞の執筆をお願いする時、「地図を見て地図を描くと劣化地図ができる」って話を１回はする。 エースコンバットだけを参考にエースコンバットの台詞を書くと、過去のエースコンバットで見聞きしたような既視感のある台詞ばかりになる。これが劣化地図。 エースコンバットは戦闘機パイロットなりきりゲームなので、「ミリタリーものあるある」「パイロットあるある」は大歓迎なんだけど、「エースコンバットあるある」な台詞はなんか冷める。この違い。 そうならないためには、実際の軍隊での無線交信の音声を聞いたり、マニュアルを読んだり、退役・現役自衛官の方のお話を聞いたり、軍事ライターの方が取材で見聞きしたことを教えていただいたり。なりきりゲームという意味では、評判の良いミリタリー映画・小説・漫画を参考にするのもありだと私は思う。 要するに、劣化地図にならないためには実際に地形を見て地図を書く必要がある、ということです。
