Most people think markets are efficient, that the winning product is always the most beautifully designed, the most thoughtful, or the most technically advanced. In reality, markets often reward distribution, positioning, and marketing far more than craftsmanship. Time and again, ordinary (sometimes even mediocre) products, exceptionally sold, outperform superior ones that simply fail to reach the right audience.
