In 2020 I wrote an essay for vol 2 of @APWOTmag & examined colonialism in game design & storytelling. For the essay I spoke to the brilliant & inspiring Meagan Byrne, who was making Hill Agency. Hill Agency, an Indigenous cybernoir, is out now & I can't wait to play it 🎉

The thing about living in a capitalist society is folks who know how to commodify the work of others start to have a value. The problem ends up being that those folks WAY overvalue their contribution and have made themselves gatekeepers to what has worth. That’s not their skill.
