I’m a pensioner. So I benefit from the triple lock. I get the full state pension. Which is £965 every four weeks; so equivalent to £1045 a month. I get the full amount because I have 50 years of working and paying my stamp and income tax. I get no other pension. It’s not luxury!

We’ve been pretty poor most of this year and rotated over half the starting payers and people think we’re match fixing rather than just crap 🤣

@Acqulesce_ @SkySportsNews I said it was the worst, but the Ref was a 'Let them play' guy and set a high bar for fouls. Anderson is not a dirty player, he went through on the player but hit the ball. I don't like to see challenges like that. Please beat Spurs on Sunday and I'll admit it was a Red.

@BaHaCl02 This doesn’t happen if you’re in control of the challenge you make, if he was in control his studs wouldn’t be planted in Watkins leg. You got away with it, it is what it is, don’t pretend it isn’t a nasty challenge

@Acqulesce_ Wins the ball, always in control, not going in with too much pace. Key point there, wins the fucking ball, you can keep trying to water down the game but it’s a contact sport and Watkins embarrassed himself staying down like that, a little like you’re embarrassing yourself now.

@Acqulesce_ @SkySportsNews The Ref set the tone by letting a lot of tackles go. This was probably the worst one. In the context of this game it was a yellow card tops. We've not been in a European Semi since 1984, we need to catch up with the new rules.

@DaveHo1mes Getting the ball is irrelevant really (especially when such minimal contact with it is made) he’s clearly out of control and endangering an opposition player, the slow motion changes nothing he’s studs first into Watkins ankle slow motion or not it’s a crazy decision

@Acqulesce_ It’s one of those where he gets the ball then his leg rolls up over it and makes contact with Watkins, it didn’t have a lot of force behind it at that point and still images and slow motion replays don’t help, but I’m not sure we’d have had any argument if he’d seen red.

I thought the Anderson challenge on Watkins was a booking but seeing it back he’s probably lucky in today’s officiating to get away with that one. The referee was pretty consistent all game and there were a few Villa players getting away with late challenges as well so Emery needs to calm down, the overreaction probably says more about his teams performance than any real grievance with the officials.
