I think people are having a fundamental misunderstanding of what Chainsaw Man is supposed to be. It's trying to convey you a message.
The reset is showing us how better their lives are without the extra weight they carried. For example Asa is now happy without that guilt she had

@Acrolyx @SimplyTroy2 Is the first page a Volume scan? In that case it would probably be a case of magazine scanning vs volume scanning instead of a Viz problem

Toriyama being able to recontextualize Goku's passing of the torch moment as a negative character trait, after dropping Gohan as the 'hero' is just amazing to me.
Gohan inheriting Goku's place and instead using that as the driving force for Goku's character dev is just insane.
